>Whitmore looked fantastic when testing during the NBA Draft Combine in front of several NBA scouts and executives. He came in at 235 pounds and looked significantly stronger than during his one season at Villanova. Whitmore is a plug-and-play big guard who can score at all three levels and can be an impactful guard, on and off the ball, next season with his size and offensive versatility.

I really wouldn’t be mad at the team selecting Whitmore. Need athletic wings in the absolute worst way, and he’s got the upside (and nba-ready body) to be a rotation contributor from day 1.

I don’t know how any mock drafts can predict what we’re going to do till we have a GM that explains what direction we’re going in/till we know what we’re doing with Kuzma and Porzingis.
That said, I wouldn’t mind Whitmore

We’re lucky that there are 8 great prospects this draft. We’re going to get one of them.

ESPN’s new mock has us getting Black (Whitmore gone already, Hendricks goes after to the Mavs at 10).

If we resign Kuzma (and keep Beal), taking Whitmore would be a mistake. These young guys need playing time and Whitmore isn’t going to get enough competing with Kuzma, Beal, Kispert, Deni, and Davis.
That said, if we blow it up Whitmore would be high on my list.

most of the mocks have whitmore going higher. I’d be happy with Black out of Arkansas if he makes it that far.

surely there is a one-dimensional scorer we can add to continue our mission to be the 11 seed that can drop 140 every once in a while

8th pick + 2nd rounder + Beal to the Spurs for the 1st pick… is what a Miami Heat fan would propose in our shoes.
