Maybe doc isn’t even a great coach in the regular season. Perhaps it’s just that a lot of other teams don’t put a lot of stock Into it until late in the season if even that. Most teams can coast to a playoff appearance. This seems to be the way nowadays.

If he was that good of a coach in the regular season we probably would’ve had a plan other than “idk keep running the pnr and kicking to role players and praying they hit threes” in Game 7.
