This is starting to feel obvious. He loves Portland, but does not want to go through a rebuild. This smoke is getting too strong for me to ignore.

I think he’s just being salty at the Portland fans that want to trade him
He’s gonna say literally everything short of “trade me right now”
I do not want this guy on our team unless it’s for Ben Simmons, Joe Harris, and at most 1 pick.
He’s over 30, small, and a subpar defender. Why gut our team for him so we can run in place a couple years winning 40-50 games and get bounced in the first round? I’ll take a pass on DameTime if it requires parting with any of our top players.
But all my other nets fan friends seem so hyped about the possibility, I feel like I’m on crazy pills or something.
I think it would a mistake to sell the farm for him. If Portland comes to the team they should say we are not offering what you want and you should look elsewhere for a package.

Realistically what gets it done?
Salaries would have to match, id assume that everyone outside of Mikal / Bridges?
Cam Johnson doesn’t fit their timeline and is due money.
Idk how this works unless they take back Cam Thomas + Simmons + filler and mad picks,
If anything, the nets should trade bridges to the blazers for the 3rd pick and all their future assets plus young players. Nets aren’t doing anything special with this current squad. Better to go full rebuild even if they don’t own all their picks in the coming years.
A core of Dame and Mikal would be nice. Look at the Heat with just Butler, Bam and their supporting cast.
The team could be special with the right role players. Then the Nets just need to plan clearing their cap space again when Luka or Giannis will be FAs.
