The Toronto Raptors Are Eyeing A HUGE Trade For The NBA Draft

The NBA draft lottery has opened up some MASSIVE conversations around the Toronto Raptors trading for the 3rd overall pick from the Portland Trail Blazers and potentially landing young star Scoot Henderson.

The Portland Trail Blazers are in a desperate situation where they need to put a better supporting cast around Damian Lillard who expressed he has no desire to work with an up-and-coming team. The Toronto Raptors have a prime opportunity now to make a move for that third overall pick and provide Dame a supporting player such as Pascal Siakam or OG Anunoby to get the Blazers back into contention next season.

Should Masai Ujiri’s front office put everything on the table to make this happen? What would the trade look like? Who says no?

Jacob Gramegna uncovers everything in today’s video on Amateur Hour Sports.

  1. As a blazers fan I would be sick to my stomach if we traded the number 3 pick for Siakam. We would barely be better, definently not competing for a championship, and we would be pissing away are future to still be mediocre in doing so. OG and Siakam arnt competitive with the raptors, why would adding them to an even worse roster result in success?

We want a guy like Kat. Or maybe Bridges. Not Siakam.

  2. Scoot is not going to be available at 3. Stop dreaming. Charlotte is not passing up on a generational talent. Scoot is the modern Derrick Rose, Charlotte is not going to F that pick up

  3. Scoot is a franchise player and will change the organization he's similar to Ja Morant, and De'aaron Fox elite guards that are quick, explosive and can score at will and are playmakers, he's a All NBA talent ⭐

  4. If this is plausible, it may be the best haul we could get for Spicy P. I say do it and just let the kids play

  5. A no brainer… U must be high af, we are not trading for potential, pascal 2x all star 2x all nba, mip winner, nba champ that gets better every year… No one including the Raptors are building around future sixth man scottie… Thank God ur not in the front office

  6. Your vision is become the thunder minus Shai…. Clearly ur blind… Ur key words, maybe, could be, hopefully, could work…. No thanks I'll build around a proven top 20 player in pascal

  7. You're delusional if you think Sharpe is available. Dame is available before Sharpe is available. Pascal and a pick swap 3 for 13 maybe, because we're gonna have to send you some matching salaries in return and if it's Simons and Nurk (40 mil) then Pascal (37 mil) and a pick swap is in order. Rumor has it though that Dame is in love with Mikale Bridges so we'll see.

  8. This why i dont subscribe to some of thes guys, you want to trade 25 pts 8 and 6 for a guy you hoping to be better

  9. honesty, from a Portland POV, it wouldn't make sense to trade #3 pick for a one year contract in Pascal Siakam. Pascal, trade value is going down and everyone knows it.

  10. I can see the raptors doing this. Pascal is going to be up for a super max contract soon and I just can’t see the raptors paying him that kind of money. I think he’s most definitely in play if the Blazers really want to move that pick. If you can get scoot, 2 younger players, and your 13th pick you’re getting a nice haul at the end of this day. I pull the trigger on this move without thinking twice.

  11. If this happens im gonna be a miami heat fan bc thats the dumbest thing you could do making a trade like this

  12. nothing changes with the draft if we dont have a good bench to come into the game to provide rest for our starters, i would be more focused on improving the bench or else just like previous seasons our starters all play 35mins or more

  13. Question for you, now if Portland says NO to simons coming back as a salary filler would you be ok with bringing back the Nurkic and others contract as fillers if it meant it got us the 3rd overall pick forsure and also keep our 13th? Also if we ad Nurkic do we not bring back Jak?

  14. Trading Siakim for a third pick is stupid. Trade Fred and Gary and get what you can but keep Siakim

  15. Portland would just trade #3 for a 4-5 future 1sts to another team who wants scoot before they include Simons in a deal for Siakam. Siakam will still be there after the draft and Portland can look to shoot for Giannis or Embiid with whats going on their. They can revisit a Siakam trade later if you wont take 3 for Siakam straight up.

  16. I am only doing this trade if Scoot in the board and we keep 13th. Scoot repaces fvv and simons replace gary's trent. We can add more one guard at 13.

  17. Portland needs to get close to matching salary of Siakam, no way this trade can happen with just sharpe or simmons and the 3rd pick.

  18. I’d like to trade pascal not only for Scottie to run the 4, keep og at the 3 but for his benefit as well, while we can still get something for him, that’s just my opinion 👍🏽 I’d like that 3rd pick too

  19. If I’m Toronto, I’m considering moving that 13th pick in the trade. Sure, it’d be awesome to keep it, but Scoot is more than enough for me to not complain about the loss of the 13th. The main goal is convincing Portland to do it. Whether you consider it an overpay is irrelevant, because I would overpay for a generational point guard. Pairing Scoot with Scottie could be a dynasty-making move. Get assets and young pieces for Fred, let Gary walk, resign Jak, and you’re running a lineup of Scoot-Simons-OG-Scottie-Jak. Bolster the bench, and I’m predicting a very quick turnaround to success for this team.

  20. Pascal is a wayyy better player at 29 than Demar was, but if we had the same situation with Demar at 29 then everybody would be against it and say run it back. We should trade gary (via sign and trade) and Flynn to Brooklyn for dfs, harris, and mills or curry. Our starters would be fvv, og, scottie, Pascal, Jakob. And bench would be mills or curry/dfs/ harris/ Porter and Precious with banton and kololo as 11th n 12th man. We would have the talent/depth/experience to win a chip

  21. What I think is going to determine is whether Portland is confident that Siakam is willing to sign an extension. It all matters on whether they dump out their assets for him or not

  22. Scoot/Banton
    Simons/Jordan Hawkins
    OG/Precious
    Scottie/Boucher
    Poeltl/Koloko

    OR

    Bufkin/Banton
    Simons/Brandon Miller
    OG/Brandon Miller
    Scottie/Precious/Boucher
    Poeltl/Koloko

Are WAYYYYY fuckin better than what we've been trying to do, and it gives us hope for the future. We desperately need that 3rd pick
