There should be some kind of memo to new owners of American sports teams: the other owners think you're fresh meat and are looking to put you together. You wave some big name player like Kevin Durant, or Rudy Gobert, or Kevin Garnett/Paul Pierce and the newly minted team owner gets all horny and coughs up all his draft capital and quality young players. Its hilarious how many times it happens.

The amount of stuff Phoenix gave up for KD is ridiculous, especially considering his age and recent injury history. KD is still great, but way past his prime, he cant handle double teams anymore and heavily declined on defense. I also really dislike the blame Ayton gets, he has been absolutely wronged by the Suns ever since he got drafted. I can not comprehend why you would draft a traditional Center at No 1, especially with all the options that were available in that draft, and then never build the team around this guy at all, his frustration is totally understandable. He is the 4th option on a good day, gets barely any shots and defenitely does not get any plays designed for him. They also clearly showed that they did not want him by dragging his contract situation out, to then force him to stay and continue doing the stuff they used to do to him the 4 prior years, If i am ayton, i would preserve my value while getting paid and have zero motivation at all to play for the team that just treated me like shit ever since i entered the league.
How many times has he tried to redeem himself for going to Golden state…he literally only went to Brooklyn and then Phoenix u say it like he been on more than 4 team for his career..
