I think Poole has great potential, however he may have peaked on the Warriors in that Nuggets series from last year (still played great throughout but Wiggins was clearly the 2nd best player), and that was a bad defensive Nuggets team missing multiple key players, so perhaps Warriors went all in too early for a player who won't get a fair opportunity to be the "guy" for at least a few more years with fairly bad defense (terrible at many times). Poole might not even like the Warriors due to Draymond literally sucker punching him. Really unfortunate situation, however if he does want to leave, and the right trade appears (Anunoby and OPJ from the Raptors for Poole+picks+maybe Kuminga), then that's something that helps all parties.
I'm with Kerr, even in a down year/ inefficient year, Jordan Poole averaged 20.4 ppg with 4.5 assists. When Steph was out he averaged 26 ppg with 6 assists. He appeared to get better as the season went on in addition to playing all 82 games. Stop trashing this young man. If the fans keep pushing him away, he'll leave and you'll just have to watch him pull together on another team. If he pulls it together like he did last year! Watch out!
Poole doesn't play Warriors basketball. After 4 years he still doesn't get it, selfish, selfish ,selfish. I don't want to watch him another year. Bye, bye.
Even at his best I don’t think Poole is a great fit. He’s too small to pair with Steph. It reminds me of the Monte Ellis thing. If Poole was an elite defender it might be different but anytime you put two 6’”3 guards on the court together the other team is going to score points.
Let Poole go, he is not a good fit with steph.
Too bad Willard's show isn't a solo gig.
Dray gotta let Jordan take 1>>>>> that sucka punch ruined everything
Pooles not getting over that. Trade him
JP’s body language, attitude and declining performance make it obvious he’s been unsure of himself all season 🤷🏼♀️ IMO he should move on to a younger team that wants him for their starting lineup. He’s at his best as a starter and I think his young ego thrives on that kind of attention. Dray isn’t going anywhere so unless JP has the emotional maturity to work work through his issues it’s a supreme waste of time keeping him in the Bay for another season. Being disconnected teammates who tolerate one another will never work.
Ok you won’t suspend Draymond!!! Ok well, how about I tank the whole team!
Jordan Poole played like 2016 Harrison Barnes! Dubs lost 2 close, winnable games. He’s gotta go!
Y’all over value draymond. Change the system and you won’t need green. Get a big man lob threat for Steph pick n rolls with the ball in Steph hands
What we need is Dray and Klay get a bit hair cut to leave some cap space. Get Poole traded out. Get some good role players like Malik Monk or KCP. It will be a contender again next year.
Draymond has now cost us two championships plus the loss of Durant.
Steph dont need another hero on that team. He just needs reliable pieces. Pool wanna be a whole brunch on a team that he just needs to be a reliable piece. 6th man. At this stage. Poole does not match the culture. He got the bag and switched. Dray on the other hand a snake thats riding LBJ. Dont need him and the enablement from Steve Kerr is crazy.
Slowly watching Warriors fans turn into LA fans, pretty gross. Jordan had 1 bad year and getting crapped on hard.
JP just has to learn for now, that as long as the core dudes are here and playing, that he'll have to just be the best 6th man or bench guy he can be. Earn the starter role like Steph did, like all these guys did. Everybody in the NBA works hard, but just cause you work hard doesn't mean you deserve to be a starter, esp on a team like the Dubs. It's not a given. Self awareness is such an underrated superpower.
The Warriors abrogated their responsibility as the grownup when they passed the buck by asking Poole for his input which put Poole in a very difficult situation. This attitude of not dealing with the problem is what caused Durant to leave.
