“It wouldn’t be because the money’s not right. The job is all-consuming and he has to deal with Joe Lacob, who’s a very very very very ambitious CEO….I could see him walk away and not do anything for a year.” @MontePooleNBCS on Bob Myers’ possible exit (via @WillardandDibs).

Most of us have all consuming jobs and demanding CEOs.

“All consuming” = dude calls all day and night long. Zero air-space.

Lol. We’re really in for it with Lacob as owner in the post-Curry years. The only owner in NBA history “ambitious” enough to run the two timeline plan with a top 5 all time player on his roster.

Translation: Lacob is an OCD micromanager who will slowly lose his mind and drive his team into the ground.

I remember Dray describing Lacob as someone who couldn’t grasp the concept of not having success. Like when the team loses, he doesn’t understand why the team would lose in the first place and not just win everything lmao he’s probably crazier than we think.

Monte was also regularly talking about trading one or multiple of the Big 3 during the first half of the season with alarming gusto (as in because they were the problem/root cause of our first half season struggles and not Wiseman and our teenagers lol) and is more often than not on the slightly dramatic and downer side so I take his takes on pretty much anything with a massive grain of salt lol
