Mitch Kupchak if they would still draft a guard, basically says they would but they are in a better spot to be picky towards position over talent now.

Can anyone give a single example of a time when drafting for need over talent was the right decision?

I don’t think he’s gonna give away their draft plan rn. It’s smokescreen season rn

  3. Scoot is a potential superstar why would you pass that up for a wing shooter. Smh

This is really not that hard but I’m getting early vibes mitchy might screw this up….

P.S drafting for need over talent kept the Warriors from getting Lamelo Ball

  6. And .. when did we need another wing ? I count Miles PJ Gordon Kai thor Theo all on roster now .. what we don’t have is a secondary ball handler and facilitator. For God’s sake we were running sets off plumlee look how many touches plum had above the arc we must have a secondary ball handler this we have too many guards is people who never watched this team play we would kill for a rim attacking guard 6 months ago why are we playing like BMill is a better fit he add to an already full log jam scoot plays at a fast pace can get mello off the ball sometimes and can run the offense when mello sits we do not have that on our roster BMill is higher celing PJ

Let’s all say it together now: “Best Available.” Any consideration of the existing roster of a 27 win team when picking at number 2 is real nonsense.

Excuse me Mitch, WHAT?!? WE HAVE THE WORST ROSTER IN THE LEAGUE

    Blazer fan here in peace.

Drafting for need might not be a bad position for you guys if you love your backcourt, because of what you could get with your tradedown.

Scoot is 100% getting picked 2nd. His ceiling is just too high to pass on. Mitch and every other GM knows this. The haul you get for trading down to say 5th or 6th, say to get a Jarace Walker or Grady Dick could be sexy as hell. It would probably take their lottery pick this year, a future first, the and a young good starter or two (or all-star) to move up to 2.

Just don’t see you guys getting Miller. He’s going 3rd. I doubt we’re interested in trading up to two to get Scoot. I could be wrong though. We have a new head of scouting (former ESPN draft analyst Mike Schmitz), and if he thinks Scoot is the way and convinces the higher ups then I guess it’s a possibility.

In the end I’m sure you’ll pick Scoot though. His ceiling is higher than anyone on your team and Mitch has historically been a very good GM.

Please pick the guy who’s gonna work harder.

He really didn’t give an answer, he just said he could see us drafting for fit and not that we for sure will. Hopefully this is a sign we will choose scoot.
