    Let’s be real harden leaving no matter how trash he is leaves us without a competent pg, we have to rebuild. However, the knicks have the worst package for embiid.

    I’d trade him for the 3rd to Portland and a shit ton of assets, to speed this rebuild up

    Knicks are just looking at the situation. Lots of rumors. Only way Embiid gets traded is if he asks for one and at that point the team doesn’t have to accommodate him either.

    I don’t want to trade Embiid. But in the alternate reality where it happens, we should be trying to send him to the Spurs for #1 pick Victor Wembanyama. Make it a three-team trade with Dallas. They give Luka to the Spurs as well for picks and players. Helps for salary matching purposes. Go big or go home, this alternate timeline is screwed anyway.

    Blazers fan here. I know the trades are annoying (trust me I get it) but i assume we have the most appealing assets for Embiid out of any of the teams that would likely trade for him? Shaedon, anfernee, nurk and obviously the #3 pick, as well as the #23 and future firsts.

    If that happens – I just might have to hang up the Sixers fandom for a while. There is no way I could root against the team that has Brunson, Hart, and Embiid and also not named the Celtics (we all have a line drawn).

    Just feel like this team is more screwed than we were pre-tank.

    It has seriously come to that. This organization has f’ed up so royally its best chance since AI (and maybe even more so). Just reeeeeaaaallly tired of their shit.

    They don’t have enough. I had a Knicks at work telling me 3 first round picks and their top 3 behind Brunson could get it done. I said without Brunson, they aren’t getting Embiid.

    This would never happen. The Knicks aren’t getting rid of Brunson, they have nobody else on the roster that we’d even want, and any picks we’d get from them would be mediocre at best because they’d be a playoff team with the addition of Joel Embiid.

    I swear, people just report anything.

    They have no assets to give us, we don’t want fucking Julius Randle. At the very least if I wanted to give up Joel for no assets I’d trade him to Miami where I know he’d enjoy it

    How many more seasons do we all need to watch the team underachieve in the playoffs and watch Embiid fail to be the leader they need before we’re ready to move on? He’s at the peak of his powers and will only get worse as the seasons go on, it’s time to blow it up especially if Harden goes back to Houston. The Knicks are one of a handful of teams ready to overpay for a star, f’ing do it.
