After hearing this I pretty much won’t care to listen to Lance Zierlein much anymore. He sounds like a guy who is just bitter and annoyed at the fact that he had to eat crow when he was proven wrong about the Texans having no interest in Stroud. He was so sure of himself and instead of admitting he was wrong, he’s doubling down and making claims that have no backing other than stuff that boils down to essentially “gut feeling.”
There is ZERO indication or evidence that Stroud or his “people” are unhappy being in Houston. Was he maybe disappointed that he didn’t get picked by Carolina? Sure, but any player would be disappointed not going first overall.
The man literally cried and was all smiles when the Texans drafted him and he greeted fans in KC, his own Mom gave a interview with Ohio State where she talked about how excited they all were and that she believes it’s a good fit because CJ has familiarity with Jerrod Johnson and some other guys on the staff.
This is just Zierlein talking out of his ass because he prided himself on rarely being wrong with draft positions. Sour grapes and being prideful, nothing more nothing less. Move on.

There was nothing about CJ's demeanor on draft that indicated he was unhappy. If CJ didn't want to be drafted by the Texans he had every opportunity to share that with the organization AND he would not have traveled to Houston for a pre-draft interview.

I know people like Ryan’s because he played great for the texans , but he’s an unknown commodity don’t try to use the talking point he was interviewed by everyone like he was seriously being considered for any of these jobs, because we all know it’s was due to the fact he’s black and the Rooney rule exist. he was the mandatory black candidate of 2023 nfl off-season. we have no clue if he’s good enough to be a head coach, he lacks experience to assume that he will even last 3 seasons. Texans got the only coach that would take the job. Just pray for it to work out and don’t have any unreality expectations, texans are a different level of dysfunction .
First it was Demeco Ryans would never even answer a call from the Texans. Then it was CJ Stroud would never go to the Texans because of his agent. Next it was the Texans only like Bryce Young. None of these analysts seem to have a clue about what's really going on in Houston.

I believe the Texans or any NFL team are taking a huge chance with any QB they draft these days, the potential for bust at the qb position in the NFL is high! Is CJ worthy of the #2 overall pick, That is a long time from now and his only focus should be the best player he can be with no distractions no different then if he were drafted by another team!
