If we really want to win now with dame.. trade the 3rd pick, Filler pick + nurk for mikal bridges and Claxton.
Then trade simons & Nasir little for OG + precious achiwa who I think can be a great back up center. Use our 23rd pick and draft a PF/SF rookie Resign grant resign Reddish and start shaedon as our 6th man.

Mike's comment that the Blazers aren't really trading for Mikel Bridges, but are trading to keep Dame here didn't sit well. That is akin to the franchise being held hostage. Blazers have to trade the highest lottery pick they have had in 16 years AND young talent + possibly other Draft capital to keep a player here that sadly, from a TEAM standpoint, has not accomplished anything of significance. If this was a 'demand' after the sweep by the Pelicans in 2018, I'd be all in. But now, the window is quite small, and it seems like a short term attempt that could hurt the franchise long term. Love Dame, but I'm a Blazer fan first and this seems short-sighted.
Nets would have ok package for Dame. Claxton, fillers and lots of picks. If you are trading Dame it is the picks that you are interested in.
Jerami Grant is a SF, the team needs rebounding, which neither Grant nor Bridges do much of.
The last part of that guy’s statement was brilliant the nets don’t need to make the trade so they probably wouldn’t if it’s a fair trade
as a nets fan is it even smart to get lilard when he only has two years left on his contract? he's not locked in long enough. trae young is locked in for 4 years, lilard only two. not only that but he wants to play with mikal. just wait two years and get him in free agency.
Lol we got Mike betting against the team in negotiations thats great. Ive never seen someone play down a top 10 player at his position at 23. I actually dont even think these other teams deserve Simons the way i hear other teams fans talk about him cuz of a narrative about defense even tho he’s clearly playing out of position. He has allstar upside and has put all star production on the floor when playing w/o Dame in the last 2 years. I do think u were right that Simons and 3 for mikal is an overpay. You probably add picks, nas and nurkic for mikal and claxton. Something else ive thought of is trading down with houston for 4 and the brooklyn nets pick and send back both to Brooklyn to entice them to have a year to fix up their roster and develop their talent
Man number 3+ may be a future first and contract filler is enough for bridges the nets are one of the worst franchises of all time they do not know how to make good trades look what they got back for Harden and Kyrie plus the Boston trades Mikal Bridges is good he’s 27 years old so in the prime of his career So if Brooklyn wants to keep them and waste his trade value let them they are awful franchise anyway
Its also funny to hear him say we need to drink truth serum about Dame, but is insistent on keeping a player who he said himself will probably never have a higher value at an opportune time to rebuild the roster.
Blazers are not trading the 3rd pick.
I think we should Trade Dame, we have seen 10yrs of this. Keep the pick and build with the haul that Dame could bring. History shows this overnight building of a super team doesn't work. It takes time and no guarantee they will mesh as team mates.
Simons is a bum……….would rather have Pooles albatross of a contract. Atleast he can take a punch. Simons is a btch boy.
Heres another trade that works.
Toronto receives: Simons, Sharpe, Grant and Nurkic + 3rd overall pick.
Portland Receives: Siakam, Van Vleet and Trent jr + 2nd round future pick or Koloko.
This gives Dame proven Championship level players. It provides the young rebuild Raptors are looking for. If they extend their player options that's 2 years to figure it out. If it doesn't work, they all fall off the books and that clears alot of space for free agency. Dame will be closer to out his prime.

honestly Ive just been becoming more and more oky with just trading dame at this point and getting 4 firsts along with what we got. Mikal bridges, dame, jeremi, nurk is a play in team.

Anfernee, 3rd pick, 2025 1st, and a 2nd round pick
Bridges and Claxston
Any thoughts ??? Obviously we would sort out the bulls pick to make this happen, and fill salary as necessary. I like the deal for portland i wonder if there is any chance Brooklyn would like it?
Also portland shouldnt be desperate, if teams are trying to fleece us for the 3rd then draft scoot and let the chips fall where they may. There are going be at least a couple suprize offers for the 3rd. There are so rarely 3rd picks in the draft up for grabs, i kinda think there will be teams bidding for it not the other way around.
Any combination that includes Simons and the 3rd is too much for Bridges who is a nice player but does not solve the blazers biggest problems. While I might entertain Simons and the later 1st. Of course, it's the blazers they will probably blow it again. use Simons and Nurk to obtain Ayton.
