We have a first round exit ceiling and are headed into the luxury tax. Not starting a rebuild at the trade deadline is just bad GM’ing. I highly doubt that we get more than a top 6 protected first and two seconds back for Jak when we decide to trade him

Well it doesn’t matter what any of us think because it looks like MLSE would rather have a .500 team then a full on rebuild.

Well since they traded the FRP next year, I think they give winning another shot next season at least. They might make major changes but the goal is to get into the playoffs. Masai will trade for young pieces that can contribute now and in the future. They will evaluate from that, and possibly do a full rebuild the following year if needed.
