No. Next season only light it up during playoff wins. The season after only light it after Playoff series wins. And the season after only if the Kings win a championship. Make the beam mean something. Last year was fun. Now it’s time to contend.

Light the Beam should definitely be a part of this current teams celebration. And continues on during the nucleus of Fox, Sabonis and Murray in the future.
Light it for sure, but the ceremony everytime is not necessary. Playoffs for sure!

I feel like not surprisingly, JJ just doesn't get it. The beam really isn't a thing for the players even though bless them, they played into it and had fun with it like they should. It's really more something for the fans and citywide engagement with the team. It's basically an arena attraction at this point, so yeah, light it when they win. Players don't have to participate in it. What is the big deal? But of course these beamless thieves of joy like JJ have to whine about it and can't just enjoy these stupid little privileges we have in life, like enjoying these meaningless exhibitions of sports and entertainment. They should just ban "Celebration" by Kool & the Gang being played at sporting events. It's not 1980 anymore, we definitely do not celebrate good times in 2023. Come on.

Compromise, I think the beam should be lit every big/national TV game, and playoff games, but it def shouldn't be for every single win.

I don’t think the kings will ever be a team that is expected to be good or recognized as a contender. They’re too small of a market and a win by committee type team, even with fox putting up big numbers. We don’t have a top tier player like Gianni’s, steph, bron, jokic, etc. We’ll always be a team at the periphery of elite teams that is “beatable” and the “desired” team to go up against in the playoffs. That said, keep the beam but don’t make players a part of the spectacle
If the kings ever win a title their championship rings should be equipped with a laser beam like in Captain Planet.
Light the beam because it annoys other teams and fanbases. 17 years of basketball hell we light that beam until this iteration of the kings team is done. I’m just hoping there’s more beam merch and more spectacle next season
