Anthony Davis (28 points, 18 rebounds) and LeBron James (23 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists) combined for 51 points for the Lakers. The Nuggets lead the best-of-seven series, 3-0, with Game 4 taking place on Monday, May 22 (8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN).

It would’ve been nice to see LeBron in his 11th Finals, but I can’t say I’m that surprised by this result. Still lots of positives to take away from the season tbh – great trade pieces, the development of Austin Reeves, and a healthy AD are very encouraging. Hopefully they can manage to keep Austin around and add a bit more shooting while LeBron tweaks his jumper and gives himself some rest. With luck they’ll be in a similar position (if not better) next year.

imo dlo is the problem. he plays too carelessly and he is the main reason lakers have never been able to get off to a hot start. they would get chances to run the break and he would either make a stupid pass or a stupid shot attempt. aside from taking 3s id rather have westbrook over him any day. plays with more heart, can run the transition better. those have more impact in winning these crucial playoff games than anything we can get from dlo in terms of a deep playoff run.

While I'd like to see it all wrapped up in game four, I suspect Denver will use the next game for a little rest and relaxation to finish the series at home. Game 5 will be a feast for the eyes (for Denver fans, of course).
