I tend to agree with this. LA has not worked out for Kawhi, and he’s pretty much the only NBA Finals MVP that Portland has a legit shot to trade for. Kawhi’s injury concerns are certainly a worry, but at 31 he is younger than Dame and is certainly a piece that could add instant playoff credibility to Rip City.

idk what i’d be willing to give up for Kawhi because he’s so injury prone same with Paul George
I would be open to getting Kawhi. There’s a chance he’s hurt but if he is healthy we are automatic contenders. I’d rather take the risk if we are to trade the pick.

His knees are cooked. Stay far away.
I think giving up the 3rd might be too much. I believe Kawhi’s knee injury is degenerative isn’t it? I mean if you’re confident he can play in 60 games and be ready for the playoffs he is clearly worth the 3rd but I don’t think that you’d take the over on that bet at even money.
One of the reasons I want Mikal Bridges is his status as an iron man! Not the case with Kawhi sadly.
Why tho? He is the most injury prone player in the league and gets babied so hard by the clips it’s not funny. He might have some good games in a burst but then he’s either injured again or on load management. He couldn’t win with a team that has pretty much been tailored to him. So again I ask why do you think it would be any different in Portland?
Knees are dust.
I’d trade the #23 for him, sure.
Yes, yes. Kawhi and his deteriorating knees. Contender!
