  1. no team has an appetite to sign him for 200 million.

We’ll pay him because Tilman wants tickets sold and we need a pg

I think this Harden to Houston stuff is a big smokescreen so that he bullies Morey into giving him a max

Ultimately I think he stays in Philly and they run it back with a new HC and hopefully trading Tobias for depth pieces

I’d totally consider trading for Tobias Harris and using mostly cap space to take on his expiring deal for the right package.

Good. Hope to see him never. Go elsewhere to dribble and play no defense. Our young guys do not need to learn from this guy.

Stone should be fired if he does this

Anyone know which other teams have the cap space to sign him?

I doubt a young team is going to want him for that long and it seems like a contending team wouldn’t want to blow 50m on a guy who disappeared in a game 7. Also, his track record is now looking terrible if he bails on his 3rd team in 4 years. What contender is going to want to take a risk of him demanding a trade like he did with the nets.

I actually think he signs with Philly, maybe the rockets, for less.

    Here’s an interesting question:
How many picks would it take to read for someone like Harden?
We can just keep the picks, overpay and use the picks to move him to a terrible team in year 3/4 if he’s not good.
I think it really depends on our window

after all that talk by stone, patrick, and even ime at the press conference about not wanting to be stuck in mediocre and developing our young guys the right way, i really doubt we’ll do this lol. it seems like stone at least is genuine and ime bought in what we have going on

I sincerely doubt Tilman is gonna pass on Harden, even at that number, when he’s got $60m+ in cap space. James has a lot of flaws to his game, but I really think he’d be a more than suitable guy to help us get to the next step. Also, a name I haven’t seen much here, and maybe it’s because he hates us and wouldn’t come back, is Chris Paul. I can’t think of a better guy for our young future stars to play with.
