Of course they should trade Lillard, if their goal is to win a championship — if the goal is to just have a nice mid-level team that makes money and puts bums in seats (which is a perfectly fine reason to own a team) they should keep doing what they’re doing.

The jazz have the caps space to absorb his massive 60mm and it goes for years. No way jazz give up much more then some picks. Think 🤔 Portland gets their cap space back to go and get what they want.

Use the 3rd pick and get either 16 28 or let jazz have those and keep the 9th. Jazz may add gay into the equation. Maybe ko too…manipulate the rosters and cap and picks but how they shape it is around the 2023 picks and these players.
I’d consider adding a 3rd and 4th team like mavs and suns. Manipulate the picks and rosters that way as ayton wants out. Mavs want veterans and have pick 2027 and the 10th.
Also have some bad contracts and role players to move.

Dame lives in West Linn, Oregon which is genuinely some of the highest quality of living in the world. I think he cares more about the future of his family that he does about a championship. We love him in Oregon and he loves it here. If we traded him and we got better and won a championship a few years down the road it would honestly be bitter-sweet with Dame missing.
