  1. I enjoy your commentary and think you make some good points. One thing I don't like hearing is comments about ratings. Let the league worry about ratings. It feels like worry about ratings led to a period from around 2000-2006 where the league, egged on by the way media works, gave in to manipulating games to advance certain big market teams and players (they thought they needed more superstars) and the results were ultimately disastrous for many in the league, including a lot of fans. It shouldnt be part of the conversation and such talk can tempt the league to go back down that road. Let's talk sports, not ratings.
As for the basketball, I think your observation about AD and his lack of consistency, is spot on. You had to know it would likely cost the Lakers if they ran into a team with similar or better talent. Little things cost you series, and not showing offensively in half the games against an equal or better team is likely to get you beat. I don't trust AD and they should move off him. It doesn't help that James is not the player he was. His need to conserve energy (and also maybe he is worried about his foot) has led him into shooting way too many 3s. For the first time in over a decade, he cant impose his will on a series in a way that elevates his team. The Celtics are poorly coached and their leader also cannot be trusted. Jason Tatum is a great guy and player, but when physically pressured, he can fall apart. He did it against the Warriors last year and it's happening again. The solution is that he can't be the creator on that team unless he can shore up that weakness. Good coaches will exploit it (as Kerr did last year). Your suggestion that they need a guard to initiate the offensexis spot on. Tatum will thrive in an environment where he can play off ball.

  2. Saying atlanta scored well against boston but boston need someone like jordan poole to lead them ?!?! 😂

  3. I don’t think you get rid of Mazulla. It took Spolstra years to become the coach he is now. This is year 1 for Mazulla. The other coaches available are just being shuffled around because of the gap between them and Spolstra. Stick with Mazulla help him get better and Celtics will be fine

  4. It’s time to bury these Celtics. Every year they fall apart at some point. You can not have that many not smart basketball guys on any team, and hope to get all the way home.

  5. I almost thought you were smart…thank you for reminding me you dont know shyyyttttt…Lets go heat🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  6. Hire Nick Nurse.. Who is the best coach for shutting down star players.. He is excellent for a veteran team with shooters.. He will put in the Defense.. Toronto just doesn't attract players

  7. If im not mistaken the last time a favorite went down 0-2 at home was Boston vs the bulls around 2016 or 2017

  8. If anyone can learn something from the heat its that you dont need to get rid of players because most of Miami players are undrafted. So it comes down to caoch and condition. Its right in front of all you haters faces!

  9. Reminds me of when the 04 pistons had the 5 game sweep of the lakers. Only the pistons did not have a superstar.
The heat have a bunch of great role players over achieving. All the way to the finals!!! Add Jimmy B and they have a chance!

  10. Bad players don’t consistently hit shots the way the heat do. It’s time to own up that the talent discrepancy isn’t what y’all make it out to be.

  11. Question why Lebron ever left? Cause he had the burning desire to win one with Cleveland. Literally one of the greatest NBA stories of all time, Colin is on MARS 😂

  12. Jesus what the f*CK I can see undrafted Jordan, Pippen, Pierce, Garnet and Ray Allen in this Miami team this year 🏆 or am I the only one seeing this?Time out fellas 🤣👏

  13. “Underdog story… we see this all the time in sports” bruh wtf u talkin bout? 8th seed on the verge of sweeping the team that represented the eastern conference in the finals last year?? We see that all the time? Man shut the fuck up

  14. Im a sixers fan. Even if we did bet boston.. everyone in Philly knew before these games we would never beat the heat. We didnt need to see them play like everyone else… Yall slow. Sleeping on the heat.

  15. Lakers big swing should be to go get Kyrie. Very high risk with the potential to put them over the top

  16. "They are not this good", I am not a Heat fan, but they have clean swept the most winning regular season team in the League and now are going to do the same to the second most winning team. Maybe it is time for cowpat to consider that they ARE actually that good

  17. Boston with all their players and Stars was the “ Easiest “ sweep in NBA history for a lower seed. At least the Knicks fought and clawed their ways to a 4-2. The Bucks had no Giannis for 2.5 games so wasn’t a fair fight! Boston 😱 it’s not just the coach it the lack of point guard and old Al Horford and just everything is a mess. Spo called out bad players and playing remember the heat hurdle yelling!! Celtics are just chilling and playing carefree with no sense of urgency or intensity. Lakers and nuggets are playing with intensity

  18. This is the dumbest take i thinkni have ever heard. The xoach is young, ifnyou dont thinknhe learned from this experience, then yeah fire him. But if he learned give him a chance to prove what he learned.

  19. Think of Jaylen saying the td garden crowd is mediocre. Like maybe all the turnovers, no defense, and whining to the refs made you guys look soft and not ready for the moment?

  20. Coach was in learning phase when Lebron was there, he is not the same coach, when LeBron was struggling he could have ran offense thru wade and let LeBron guard Dirk, McGrady showed that a quick athletic guy gave Dirk a little trouble. Those losses were by a possession or 2. I said all that for clarity, but yes the culture was there and Lebron could have stayed.

  21. Boston does have a pg that can hit 3s efficiently, Brogdon. I'd take him over Poole anyday of the week

  22. Lakers vs Celtics would've been the highest selling finals in history. I'm happy to see Jimmy get his validation and Denver clearing the board off pure grind and hustle.

  23. The only thing I can remember the lowest seed beat the highest seed was Mutombo beating Seattle Supersonic long time ago.

  24. Looks like the Celtics are a footnote in the Heat Championship narrative. Not the other way around.

I think after last year, people said Miami was lucky to take the ECF to 7 games, and the Celtics lost the 2022 final because the inexperience, but they brought back the now experienced squad and 2023 is their year.

But maybe history will show that the 7 game 2022 ECF loss (lost by 4 in game 7 where Butler played 48 minutes) forged the 2023 Miami Heat team to win this years chip. Celtics are the footnote in the 2 year Heat prelude to the championship.
