I was upset as well, but we won the lottery 2 years ago and got our franchise player. But yes it was an unpleasant surprise.
The #5 pick really did hurt. There wouldn't be nearly as much cope if the Pistons got the #3 pick.
Of course
It hurts most listening to all the conversations about what the Hornets, Blazers, and Rockets will do with their picks with their new found trade leverage. We are the only rebuilding team that has negative draft assets, let alone multiple first rounders in every draft. Our asset pool sucks, so our margin for error is tiny.
