Eric Brandt: “On the Toronto front, Masai is still asking for everything. Ant, Sharpe, third pick for either OG or Siakam […] the blazers are out on Toronto, they don’t want to deal with Toronto […] from what I’ve been told it’s not gonna happen.”

Good. That would be a bad trade
Masai is delusional if he thinks he’s getting anything near that. Dude is gonna run back the same team just to spite everyone else & Toronto will suffer because of it.
Maybe that trade for both.
Didn’t Cronin say or allude to Olshey being one of those GMs that always needed to win the trade, or am I remembering incorrectly? In any case, I think Cronin said something along the lines of trying to make trades that worked for both sides, so that other teams would be more willing to trade with us going forward.
You can see how needing to win the trade can be a negative. If you ask for way too much, nobody will trade with you unless they are [really desperate](https://media4.giphy.com/media/5V9hAgndJLwcw/giphy.gif?cid=2154d3d7ygmg5t3zv2ggr67l87zu0s7w5pp82rd9atrjbdw2&ep=v1_gifs_search&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g).
Where’s the clip of him talking about the Brown trade
No slight, but who is this guy and does he have any real connections to be making this kind of reporting?
Unfortunate but honestly not a huge deal. I’m holding g out hope Harden signs with Houston and Embiid becomes available. And hopefully we could get him with a package not including Sharpe. Ant/Nurk, #3, and future firsts, and filler. Then we resign Grant and make some smaller roster moves to fill out the rotation with a role player or two
Yeah if that’s still the case, no thanks. Toronto can run back those same pieces to a lottery team and then lose those 2 in free agency.
I’m sceptical about the reliability of this info, but it would definitely make sense, at least for now. I imagine they may discuss it again around draft night just to see if either has moved but I’m of the belief Joe isn’t going to do a deal just for the sake of moving the pick for whatever the best deal on the table is, but rather only do it if it’s fair value in return.
Good for Cronin! Stick to your guns
I was on the Orlando magic fan page .. some of those guys want to give up the 6 and 11 picks for Simons
We don’t value our guys. Masai can kick rocks, just keep the pick, take BPA and continue to build
For a team full of dudes with “superstar value,” they sure fuckin’ suck.
It feels weird to say, but I have a lot of confidence in Cronin and the rest of our FO right now. They know that pick is coveted, and they’re not going to waste it. If no teams are willing to engage in good faith, just draft Scoot/Miller and circle back at the deadline.
