I love Melo but this a bit much.
Our retired numbers are basically the guys with rings + Ewing. We’re really gonna put him up there with what, one playoff series win and a 62-point game?

Some of the reactions in this thread is why I sometimes think we don’t deserve nice things as Knicks fans.
I don’t think his accomplishments warrant a jersey retirement, but it’s probably gonna be as a thank you for trying when nobody else was willing to go for it. He’s pretty much beloved by the fanbase except for some snobby ones that think they are the “real” fans.
I personally probably wouldn’t do it, but I’m not gonna be upset if they do.
Undeserved.
