High basketball IQ, great ball handler, but relatively poor shooter when entering the NBA….drumroll…Jason Kidd. Kidd could drive okay, BUT when he first started, he basically sucked at what later became a strength as his career continued….hitting 3s

Isnt it crazy to think about? Only 3 years ago Kidd was an assistant coach under Vogel, and now Vogel could be an assistant under Kidd. This coaching thing in the NBA is really strange!
I am just not sure that Vogel is the right assistant coach. Him and Kidd are both defensively minded. So why not get a coach who is known to be a good talent developer and offensive mind? Or… just change Kidd for Vogel as head coach overall. I would love to see Kenny Atkinson, but I do not think he is realistic. He will either get a HC job, or stay where he is. I think overall we have to wait untill all HC spots are filled to see who is left. Maybe Stotts is still without a job and willing to come back as an assistant? I think he would fit better then Vogel as an assistant.
Black is a good player, no question. But that is the one position we do not need. Unless Dallas plans to trade Hardy and Green. Then Black could make sense off the bench. But next to Kyrie and Luka? His below average shooting wouldnt help and his strengths would be wasted (except his defense of course). But IF he is still available at 10, I think the Pels could be really interested in trading up.
