Coach Spo is definitely one of the greatest coaches ever. Just think about it the heat are playing so many guys that went undrafted and there still winning. Now that’s what I call a great system. Heat Culture is real!!
I'm going to be somewhat upset if the Heat don't win this championship. I'm casual Celtics fan and going into the playoffs I was sure that either the Celtics or Bucks would win it all. All the analytics pointed towards those two teams. The Heat destroyed them both. And they did so while basically breaking conventional basketball wisdom. If they lose to the hyper modern, point-center, shoot 3s, no D, heliocentric Nuggets I'm gonna be dissapointed.
I keep trying to tell people that the difference between a lot of ‘star’ players and ‘role players’ is touches and Role.
You could make quite a few players the Star player for a couple of games and they too would see a dramatic increase in production
Touches matter, looks matter, screens getting set for you matter.
Give these ‘role players’ a green light and see what happens
I for one prefer the Hot Hand tactic. I don’t care who you are, how much money you’re making, if you’re cold, you’re not touching the ball. I don’t care if it’s the 13th player on the roster,making 2 mill a year, if he has the Hot hand, he’s getting the ball.
The Heat are something, especially when before the series people posted a 3% win probability against the Celtics and they just keep dominating game after game. They also proved the point that there are no bad players in the NBA, they are just not utilised correctly.
The reason why they start playing Duncan Robinson was because of his defense of liability, the Lakers exploded that in the bubble in teams figure they can go right through Duncan Robinson to get points

Listening to your intro got me thinking. Imagine if someone bet money on each heat game. They would have to be up at least 30:1 by now.
