Why not? If your going to fuck the rebuild by signing harden just go full blown stupid and get cp3 too.

Would rather have him than Harden

Im fine with it. Unlike Harden we won’t be locking ourselves long term to it

    I rate it Harden on a 2+1 > CP3 > trading for a guy like Conley > Harden on a 4 year max

I think Chris Paul is a really good fit if we cannot land a big fish. He isn’t what he once was, but he can be an extension of the coaching staff on the court and help all of the young guys develop. I think he would do wonders for Amen if we drafted Amen.

The issue is if we do this we would be hoping for almost exclusively player development to make us not complete shit next year.

    I canā€™t imagine CP3 not wearing #3

He’s completely non-guaranteed his last year iirc, I think he’d be a hell of a pick up as a vet to mentor the young guys while not being super committed to him.

I would really be excited about this. Perfect use of our cap space to preserve future flexibility and provide some quick improvement and mentorship.

I’d be excited about Harden on a two-year contract too, I just don’t want to be committed to big money for four years right now.

Meh. He’s reaching retirement age. I wouldn’t mind him leading the bench, but not if we have to give up even a single decent asset.

30m/yr is also not great, we could get so much more from Harden at slightly more without facilitating a trade.

He makes a lot more sense than James harden does on that team

An actual mentor team basketball player who wonā€™t take away touches from our young guys and wonā€™t cost 50 mill a year.

    Yes please

  12. Flaky_Scar_8388

    No. They shouldnā€™t pursue him.

Why not also take Harden , and trade for PJ Tucker, Eric Gordon and Clint Capela? /s

I would actually love this if the asking price is low (aka basically a salary dump) which it should be. CP would be the perfect mentor for our young squad for this upcoming season, and he’d especially be great to have for mentoring Amen in his rookie year (assuming we draft him).

Is it me or does that title mean nothing?

***IF*** Chris Paul becomes available, the Houston Rockets ***COULD CONSIDER*** acquiring him.

    Really?

  16. TurbulentJudge1000

Only if heā€™s traded and then proceeds to be cut by the team to save $15 million in salary. CP3 is t worth more than $15 million a year.

  17. antipoopsuperstar

At this point we gotta be getting trolled.

I remember seeing an interview with him saying he felt really betrayed when he was traded to the thunder. He really wanted to retire here apparently. Would love you have him back.

  19. AbjectDisaster

How long until they’re linked to Capela, Tucker, and Gordon?
