    The only way this happens is if Lebron really does retire, the Lakers go into rebuild mode, and the Mavs send the 2023 10th pick, their 2027 first round pick, THJ, Bertans, and one of Jaden Hardy/Josh Green. A sign and trade for Kyrie doesn’t make sense for the Lakers as their currently constructed and would leave a huge hole in their frontcourt.

    Someone was looking into ways to get Kyrie to the Lakers and realized that the only possibly the only way for the Lakers to salary match Kyrie is to give up either Bron or AD.

    while I think davis isn’t what the lakers envisioned him to be as lebron aged, dallas definitely does not have the answer. the best dallas can offer is a sign and trade of irving for davis but even then the only way it would make sense is if dallas includes the #10 pick and that would be the dumbest thing they can do. straight up, maybe but it would be a rare trade where neither team improves haha.
