we’re gonna resign rui and AR, bron and AD are gonna recover from their injuries, and the team is gonna get an entire offseason to work together. Next season this team is gonna be at least top 3 in the west
He will be back. Rui is definitely a player who thrives under bright lights that the Lakers have

He had a tough stretch towards the end of the season and it seemed like he was almost checked out, but Darvin Ham clearly got to him and help Rui get to his best.
Its good we teased him with a starting spot. Vando was already a lock to come back as his salary is small and guaranteed for next year.

It makes most sense for him to re-sign with lakers. What better team to be on as an international player? He’s not Giannis/Jokic so he’ll be ignored being on a small market team. He’ll get so much more exposure on the lakers and NBA will have more exposure in the Japanese market.

He has potential to be a 20ppg scorer with defense. Let’s hope he realizes it next season bc he will be expected to do so wirh bron load managing

Only thing keeping him from being a 18-20ppg scorer nightly is he’s a bit lightweight at the rim. He needs to learn to finish and particularly through contact. Otherwise his midrange game is outstanding and he’s a threat from 3. Really hope he stays.
Rui is a proto present day PF. Strong, fast, stretches the floor, puts in effort.
Only thing I’d maybe have him improve are his hands defensively, improving his post game, and rebounding.
Other than that, I’ve always been a Rui fan. Even more so now and hope we can retain him.
Rui I think stays. The way Reaves ended his interview suggest he is going to chase the big bag.

unless he gets an insane offer i fully expect him back here, he reminds me of caron. its amazing the progress he showed here compared to washington, especially on defence. if bron doesnt retire,hes still going to be on limited minutes bc of rehab from his surgery so Rui has a chance to build on what he showed this season. his role is definitely going to be larger if he comes back and the starting spot is probably his going forward along AD and Bron
Rui seems to be the most wholesome and nicest guy on our team. I hope we can retain and develop him for the rest of his career XD
