As a french and spurs fan, I`m relieved. I agree with you, Detroit, Charlotte, Huston, the knicks would have destroy Victor. Spurs is one of the best fit possible to make him flourish! And I will be pleased to see him bring back the spurs on playoff. And we all know that the spurs are betters that they shown this year, they developped guys, but without trying to win a playoff spot.

I think that the Spurs can win at least half of their games next year, and at least make the play-in, if not first round of the playoffs. The team they have right now is better than last yearโs record. Between injuries and Pop throttling back via who he put in the games at critical times (another way of saying โtankingโ), the Spurs underperformed. They are all a year older now. They know each other better. Also, they could pick up yet another top talent in the draft besides Wemby. I agree that Wemby is younger than #50 and #21 were, and he needs to fill out and mature a bit, but he is already good enough to lead this team to 41 or more regular season wins. It will be fun watching together to find out!
The problem with Wemby going to the Spurs is that he will probably be injured a lot, and we know how the Spurs will publicly ridicule a star player for taking time to recover from an injury. They'll say, "Zach Collins is playing with the same injury only 100 times worse," which will invariably drive Wemby to another team where he will immediately carry them to a championship.
No team in the last decade has fucked up so bad to mock their star player's injury, which essentially gifted another team their championship. Somehow, the Spurs get zero blame for Kawhi leaving. They misdiagnosed his injury, questioned the legitimacy of his injury, and constantly took digs at him for recovering from his injury. That's disgusting. Wembanyama is in the worst hands possible. Now, it is a guarantee he won't play much basketball. He'll be racked with injuries, they won't be able to play him many minutes, and he'll have a short career. The Spurs care more about their playoff appearances than their players' health. Sucks for the NBA. The NBA is losing money thanks to the lottery odds. If they're smart, they'll take Scoot at #1 and let the Hornets draft Wembanyama. It will be better for him, the league, and the fans.
Rockets don't need Wemby – he doesn't fit into their 25-year rebuild plan full of bad choices. Pistons would be an interesting fit for Wemby – if he wants 4 different head coaches and GMs in 10-years. But if Wemby wants a league leader in developing international players, continuity of organizational vision, and the finest breakfast tacos this side of the boarder then it's the Spurs. GSG!
I think with Wemby everyone has to be happy in the moment and not think about the what ifs with injuries etc just live in the moment and enjoy it, he does a lot of work each day to keep his Body healthy which I donโt know if other bigs of the past did to the extreme level he does with his feet etc. I do think the NBA wants him to be the future as they want it to grow even bigger internationally so he will get every bit of support he needs. Everything is falling into place perfectly with the spurs ๐๐ป

Congrats Rich, you're now getting Victor Wembanyama on the draft. That's why i did predicted Victor is now the Spurs because the spurs has a great youngster ever since Dejonte Murray was been great in the past few years and now Victor with the youngster will be great in the spurs in next season.
