[Quick] The dilemma for Cronin? He’s not holding a great hand at the poker table, and I think he knows it. He came in and talked about building a winner around Lillard, but he’s finding out that he doesn’t have the assets to make it happen.

facts. Cronin needs to pull off two big trades and only has the assets for one. This is why Portland reporters keep saying Toronto is asking too much, they need to fleece us so that they can do a second trade. All of which is Portland’s problem not ours.

Toronto should keep pushing for fair value and if Portland won’t pay, find another team that will or keep our guys. Eventually a team will get desperate enough to pay up. Look at what Ainge pulled off last summer waiting.

Portland fans have tried to float rumors of getting Ayton or Brown instead but are getting shot down just as quickly by Suns and Celtics fans…

Folding just means they’ll hang on for longer before losing. Imo, they will never be able to build a good team around Lillard for a variety of reasons. Trading him would be the best thing for both parties.
