In order for them to avoid elimination. The Celtics will have to accumulate 4 wins before the opposing team does. (my opinion)
If the Celtics had a 3-1 advantage, people would be discussing the finals. How would the matchup with the Nuggets be and whatnot. Things are always put from the perspective of either Lakers or Celtics. As a fan of the league overall and not of any particular team, I find it annoying and unprofessional.
honestly they shouldn't be living or dying by the 3. The reason Udoka's Celtics were good last year was because he made tatum and brown work the ball in the paint and mid range first. The looks brown was getting last year was especially great in the mid range which allowed their shooters to hit open 3s and let their stars go 1 on 1 easy move and drive to the paint

For the Heat, they prefer to hear the boos of the crowd than the cheers of their fans. It pumps them up if the Celtics fans boos them, and pumps them up more if the Celtics fans boos were meant for their own team.
Shoot better than 26% from 3. Keep the turnovers down. And actually play defense.
It's really that simple. There is no shortage of talent on the Celtics. Still have 2 games at home. There is no excuse to even be down 1-3 with home court. If this team can play to their ceiling, or even close to it, then it's possible. But 3 games in a row, is just unlikely because all it takes is one bad shooting night, one bad late call to swing a game, literally anything at all goes wrong and the comeback is blown.
It's not just gonna take perfection from a team that has shown they are falling apart, but also luck to swing their way too. We are going to see a historical run one way or another. Whether the 8th seed play in team makes it to the finals, or the Celtics are gonna come back from 0-3.

In order for the Cs to have a chance to comeback. They need Miami to play bad 4 consecutive times. 😂 Boston need to shoot lights out like 19 3's again 4 consecutive times. 😂 Thats not gonna happen. Thats why 0-3 is a big loophole to overcome. The margin of error is none, combined with pressure, turnovers, shooting well and to battle the sense of urgency of the opposing teams to close you out. Theres a reason why its 0-150 of all time. You need to have almost perfect game every game and basketball is a hard sport to do consistent thing in a nightly baist againdt same team on a series. Thats why theres a thing called "adjustments" every other team adjust when they lose and theres also familiarity. In a series there will be up and down for both teams. But Miami is too consistent this playoffs 10-4 record and they play defense. They will have that bounce back mentality and the sense of urgency to close the series out, more focus and well prepared for whats coming. I think game 5 will be the hardest game for Boston coz Miami had the mentality of improving their game since they play bad in game 4 with so many turnovers, didnt shoot the ball well and their defense is not there. Its gonna be hard for Boston esp if its a close game. Miami will make big shots. I see a celebration ceremony at TD Garden. It will end in game 5. Miami is an experience team they know how to do it.
Everything is unprecedented until it happens for the first time.
