Why The Raptors Will Surprise Everyone This Offseason!

I will be discussing the direction the Raptors will be heading this offseason and why it will surprise a lot of fans and media alike. The Raptors had a season no one expected and majority of fans will tell you the logical thing for the Raptors to do would be to rebuild but I will be discussing why the Raptors will do the complete opposite and surprise a lot of people.

  1. dude you posted this type of "Everyone is wrong about Raptors" style videos since last off season. Turns out we were wrong about these losers.

  2. Bro with all due respect. If you think we should bring everyone back you’re insane. Pascal needs to go for #3 and simons + filler, At minimum him or Og need to go. I prefer pascal gone. We need to lower salary. How you can’t see that I have no idea. Get Fred the fu ck out of here. Trade pascal. Refresh

  3. Dude can ppl PLEASE stop using the example of how we won a championship before as a path for this team? That Kawhi trade is NEVER happening again. Not to mention we dont have a Fred Van Vleet off the bench or a Norman Powell, among others. These 2 situations are not the same.

  4. You need a player like kawhi Leonard to be saying anything. Jimmy Butler, jamal Murray, jokic. You need good talent like that to compete. And they don't got no talent like that yet.

  5. Thank-you for refusing to undervalue Paskal and OG. You have to get blue chip players back if you are moving them and mid picks don't cut it. The real question is: what happens to shooters Fred and Gary? What is the plan B for shooting if they leave? What coach is going to inspire winning and refocus player development. They might move OG but they will never move Paskal.

  6. If the Magic intend to go after Van Vleet it would be in their interest to trade Fultz, the 6th and 11th for OG and the 13th

    Van Vleet
    Wagner
    Anunoby
    Banchero
    Carter Jr

  7. The team with Kyle and Demar was nothing like the team we just saw. This year guys were playing for contracts the chemistry was terrible all season. The Kyle and Demar teams always played with heart so running it back was much easier than running it back with group. Something is definitely wrong with the chemistry of this group. In no way can they run this back.

  8. It's insane how many ppl are willing to get rid of Pascal, and especially OG. Really frustrating with some of these "fans".

  9. Lol we gotta stop saying the east is wide open… that’s for the better teams not for us lol… Celtic bucks 76ers miami cavs…are all better then us lol couple shooters and more bench minutes aren’t going to change that… I’m convinced masai don’t wanna rebuild cause he worried about ticket sales … cause Iuno what games he’s watching… we might not be better then the bulls or knicks… like east is gettin better not worse.. we don’t have a guy pascal ain’t HIM.. lol 41-41 we’re mid we can keep saying what ever we want but when push come to shove we can’t even get in the playoffs…

  10. I don’t expect the raptors to rebuild. It’s a mistake, this team doesn’t have alot of talent and will likely be in the play in again.

  11. That 2017-2018 team finished first in the east by a
comfortable margin with 4 more wins than the second place Celtics
and 7 more wins than the third place Cavaliers.

Only the Houston Rockets had a better record that season.

I can't imagine opting for a rebuild for the team that easily finished first in the east,
even though they again struggled in the playoffs against Lebron.

And of course other than Lowry the core of the team was young and destined to improve
and in fact a number of the players did improve over the next couple of seasons.

I think that if they had just kept this team together and atill added Boucher as they did after this season
they would have won a championship in 2020.

Lowry, VanVleet and Powell as guards. (Wright as backup)

    Valanciunas and Poelt as centers.

Derozan and Siakim as wings. (Anunoby and Ibaka as backup)

Boucher to add depth if someone was hurt.

Definitely a better lineup than the one they ended up with in 2020 and that inferior lineup
came within a few points of beating Boston in the bubble and making the Eastern final.

I have no doubt that their 2017-2018 roster if it had stayed with Boucher added till 2020
then the Raptors would have beaten Boston and then almost certainly gone on to beat Miami
to go to the NBA final against the Lakers.

This past season on ths other hand the Raptors finished not first but rather 9th in the east.
Though i still don't like the idea of rebuilding.

  12. No one on this current roster is good enough to be the number one on a championship team and Toronto will never sign a player of that calibre in free agency. This core has won a single playoff series in 4 seasons it’s time to blow it up

  13. Kyle & DeMar played 2 different positions and 2 different roles on the Raptors. We were going to have a winning szn and just pray we don't cross LeBron in the playoffs which we did. The team right now has no fit and that's the problem. Scottie/Pascal are basically the same type of players & we need to choose what direction we want to go in. Re-build properly with Scottie or trade Scottie for a star player to compete with Pascal, OG, Fred etc.. we need a god damn direction.

  14. Well somebody is gone, because come next season the effects of that new CBA will start to take effect, O.G. and Pascal will be extension eligible at the end 2023-24… so the question is will Masai donate his own salary to Adam Silva, to keep this band of merry men together going into the luxury tax?? I am betting MLSE board approving doing that for sure.
