The Charlotte Hornets have an incredibly easy decision. At least it should be. Take Scoot Henderson at number two in this year’s NBA draft, and set yourself up with your backcourt of the future, with two potential all-nba players with Scoot and LaMelo. However, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, the word at the combine was that Charlotte was leaning towards taking Alabama forward Brandon Miller. The idea would be that you take a player that may be a better fit than adding another guard with LaMelo. First off, I don’t think the Scoot-LaMelo pairing is a bad fit at all. But secondly, when you land in a scenario like the Hornets have picking second overall, you take the best player available, every single time. You don’t draft for fit with a top-3 pick, it’s not smart. It’s the same reason that led to the Suns and Kings passing up on Luka Doncic because they already had Devin Booker or De’Aaron Fox. Don’t pass on the best player because you’re worried about fit. In the mid-late first and second round? Sure, draft for fit over best player available. But not this high. The Charlotte Hornets better not mess this up.
Think about subbing, I’m on the road to 8k!!!

Only reason I don't like the Hornets taking Scoot is cuz they already have Rozier a vet that's a 20 ppg plus scorer and a combo guard and he's buddies with MJ then you have Dennis Smith Jr who's MJ's favorite hometown Carolina guy and he the back up to Melo and Rozier so that'll put the Hornets in a situation where they'll have to play Scoot off the bench and let him slowly develop cuz they're not trading Rozier, and Scoot needs to goto a team where he can step on the court from day 1 and make mistakes and become a better player like a Toronto, or Portland if they trade Dame or TWolves where he can be the lead guard.. Hornets would just make Scoot in another Bouknight which is a sad case in itself cuz Bouk has so much potential.. Brandon Miller can come in and be that combo wing at 6'9 that plays a Forward and 2guard position. You add Miller in the frontcourt with Hayward or Bridges and that's a scoring line-up and a tall line-up. Plus Melo needs to be the lead guard for once in his career and not have to share duties with another PG that needs the ball in his hands to create.
If the rumor is true and I'm the Raptors i would call the Blazers right now and trade Siakam for Simmons and the 3rd pick(Scoot) and you have a lineup of Simmons, Scoot, Barnes, OG and Precious
