I don’t think the kid was ever close to being ready or had the character to handle fame and extra notoriety. People forget that he was a relative unknown up until his 2nd year in college. Barely recruited coming out of high school. To go from that to one of the most recognizable faces in the NBA in just a few years, is something that not everybody can handle in real time.
