Masai Ujiri Could Be Making A HUGE Mistake With Steve Nash

As the search continues for a new Toronto Raptors head coach, it seems to be getting down to a couple names. Monty Williams is high up on many people’s lists. Monty previously worked with the Phoenix Suns and with their recent success, you got to imagine Monty is a front-runner. Steve Nash was also interviewed and is a possibility for the Raptors. Of course Steve Nash is Canadian and many people’s favourite player, but can he do it as a head coach? So far no.

Who do you think the Raptors should go after? Anyone, to stay away from?

  1. It all depend if we are going to get rid of everybody and going younger then you need a development manager like Motumbo. Or if they are going to stick with the team they have except one player then get Monty. I think Nash is given a bad wrap. He is one on the best guards in history and would have so much info to give to the Raptors weakness, the guard position. Also his last job he had big egos on the team and I am sure they ignored everything Nash said. I think Nash would be a good choice.

  2. Why is everyone so convinced Nash can’t coach? He had one opportunity where it was a championship or bust roster and he got thrown under the bus. Nash would be a huge extension to what our supposed identity as a franchise is and that’s player development. His assistant team can call the X’s and O’s for all I care because Steve Nash is an S tier provider of game insight and player development skills. He’s a born coach and has always had that about him. He’s probably better suited for youth level, like say u-16/18 Team Canada, but I see no reason for him to be some laughing stock coach while Monty Williams gets treated like a coaching savant.

  3. At the end of the day.. A report is not a written in stone.. I'm hoping that it's not true but let's hope we get someone better than Nash but if it is Nash let's hope it's better than just Winning.. and actually developing players
