The Sixers don't have a history of listening to Embiid. Embiid wanted Jimmy to stay. The Sixers chose Tobias Harris. Joel Embiid wanted Bradley Beal with the assets from a Ben Simmons deal and the Sixers chose James Harden. When Ben Simmons was an active part of the Sixers team, the Sixers made deals to enhance Simmons' play. Brett Brown was hired because of his familiarity to Ben Simmons. They kept Brett Brown while letting Monty Williams go because they thought Brown was better for Simmons.
The Sixers may really cave to Harden demands over what is best for Embiid.
