  1. I say best route is to keep the 3rd pick and get OG at any cost (perhaps at trade deadline) + build the bench with good role players.

Dame, Sharpe, OG, Grant and Nurk. Top 6 team for me.

Bench: Payton Pritchard, Maythese, Bruce brown, Little, and Gaford.

  2. Three teams have won the NBA Championship with only one HOF player(until 2008). Which teams? (and the first team should be easy) That is Damian's challenge.

  3. Loved your discussion about Schmitz. Everyone’s freaking out about trading the 3rd pick because “we didn’t bring in the best scout in the world just to trade our pick”. But this has never made any sense to me, because I can guarantee that he wasn’t brought in to tell us that we should draft Brandon Miller just like literally everybody else (except Torey, but that’s beside the point 😂). He’s here to help us past the mid-teens when the entire draft diverges from expectations.

That’s also why I almost don’t want to trade more than 3 second rounders for that 2024 pick back from the Bulls, because I bet if you give Schmitz 4 shots in the second round, he’ll hit on at least one guy who ends up being better with whoever gets taken at ~20 next year

  4. Slightly off subject, I still think that they should have a stipulation on the supermax that if you are on the team that drafted you, the salary should only count as a max salary contract on the books until you trade the player. At that point, the team that trades for them should have the full salary count when it comes to the total cap

  5. I think if Scoot’s available at 3 I’d really like the trade-down with Orlando (though it would probably be a future protected first or two instead of WCJ), only because Ausar will almost certainly be available at 6. 11 provides several opportunities since one of Lively/Hendricks/Leonard will certainly be available then, but they could also trade it for something like 21 and DFS, especially since BKN could snag a very good PG at 11. Obviously the draft will open up a ton from there, but if they hypothetically take GG and Nnaji this would give a potential starting lineup of Dame/Ant/DFS/Grant/Nurk with Ausar/Sharpe/Matisse/GG/Nnaji off the bench, not accounting for the 43rd pick or free agent signings. I think that could be a competitive roster this season, and the young core would be unbelievable. Also gives them future draft capital from Orlando that could be used at the deadline to improve

  6. Please make a video of who you don't want on the roster next year and hypothetically what can we get in return. Want to hear your thoughts on current players like Knox Watford Walker Nas and FA like Reddish Winslow Thybulle Badji

  7. Pelicans traded the 4th pick (could have been Darius Garland), for 8, 17, and 35, which were Jaxson Hayes, N.A-Walker, and Marcos Silva. Would y’all really want that kind of return, when u could have another great player? Never trade back, unless u have a target!

  8. Eric suggesting Cronin is out there playing some sort of 4D chess with wanting to rebuild đŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ˜±đŸ˜±đŸ«šđŸ«š

  9. I still don't understand why you're against trading for Siakam. I know he isn't a ball stopper like Mikal or OG but he covers several other issues Grant creates He's a good rebounder, playmaker and also a more proven star than Mikal. Also he's a good positional defender. He's definitely not someone I would throw at the other teams guard but he's good at defending bigger wings like Lebron Kawhi and Durant, which isn't really something you can say about Mikal or Brown. I would rather have Siakam and try trading for an elite on ball defender like Caruso or sign Bruce Brown.

  10. They can always trade Anfernee Simons (maybe Nas too) for DeMar DeRozan and keep the number three pic. You have to send multiple first round picks to the bulls and we still have the number 23 pic that we could trade force of they get a pic this year. They have our 2024 pick which we would then get back freeing up the 2025 pic for possible inclusion with a couple of the second round picks out of the 5 we just received. Then we meet Dames requirements of adding another veteran, while bolstering our bench by having Brandon Miller play back up small forward power forward. Resign Grant, Thyblle, and Cam reddish and at the trade deadline if things aren’t going well we have assets and value contracts to trade Nurkic for an upgrade at center. Or maybe continue talks with Toronto for Siakum for Grant or Demar. This way, the team keeps sharp and the number three pick which are value contracts with unmatched talent for the price, in addition, they meet Dames request to continue to build around him.

  11. 1:38:19 no milk huh? Do you drink Almond milk?
đŸ„› Do you know how hard it is to milk an almond? Like where are an almond’s nipples? Can anyone tell me?
Shoutout to all the almond farmers out there. The individuals who are intolerant to lactose salute you!

  12. I promise this is my last mention of Brandon Miller and his legal troubles, I understand he hasn’t been charged and was released by police but Woj and others are now reporting that Miller is refusing to talk about it with teams and just handing them a letter from his attorneys, shouldn’t that be a huge red flag? It at least alludes that his legal troubles are far from over. Tyreke Evan had a similar situation with a drive by and he was drafted but he still had to testify in court and pay the victims in a civil suit and look where his career went because of his questionable actions. Ja is going through a gun related incident right now and might miss a huge chunk of next season, so am I crazy to think it’s not worth risking the 3rd pick on a player with a very questionable character? The Jail Blazer years and the years of disappointing seasons after was enough for me to say never again.

  13. I really don’t understand how last week this channel went from “Jaylen Brown to Portland for Ant and the 3rd pick is almost a guarantee” to “secretly the franchise has wanted Dame to ask for a trade and doesn’t want to trade the 3rd pick at all” after Boston wins two games is giving me GeForce Trauma. The bi polar takes are too much to keep up with.

  14. Your analysis about a lack of 1st round draft picks on teams that would want Dame is really compelling.

  15. If we can't get Jaylen Brown or Mikal Bridges, I suggest we trade with Utah's 16th pick, and get a player in return someone like Udoka Azubuike. Terrance Shannon Jr is a wing I like, we can get him in the 2nd round.

  16. Hey Torey and Eric I wanted to ask do you think the Celtic would accept a trade of the 3rd and 23rd trade Justise Winslow,Nassir Little,Keon Johnson accepting his team option for Jaylen Brown,Luke Kornet and Payton Pritchard. If Jaylen Brown wanted to force his way to Portland. If it stupid or doesn't work let me know happy to learn new things
