The top four names I hear is drafting is Dereck lively, JHS, Trayce Jackson Davis and Kris Murray. And after this I think Dereck stock might’ve risen 😳

An actual in-game three ball from Lively certainly would change the equation for him . . . but possibly enough that he’d go before #19 🙁

Iggy makes 14 straight 3s warming up too this season. Just saying there’s levels

He’s legit giving me Myles Turner vibes lol and that’s kinda okay (Myles is a frustrating player in his own right)… but he’s got an odd up and down competitiveness that I despise. Nothing worse than. The 7-1 guy who doesn’t wanna destroy small people with their 7-1ness. Nah let me show off my three ball lol.
I’ll grit my teeth and say I’m wrong more than I’m right if we draft him but I’d feel better about OMax or Jaquez or even Kris Murray.
Murray as much as I dislike him would balance our roster out… I guess so would Lively if he weren’t the project everything I saw at Duke tells me he is. Filipowski was actually the big who could do some things in the near term from Duke save for the hip issues.
We’ll see… too many Dubs centers drafted and BIG OOFS…
Fuller not Kobe
Foyle not TMac
Udoh not PG13
Wiseman not Lamelo
…and the laundry list Wright Randolph Kuzmic Obryant Perovic Ezeli Damion Jones (Joe Barry Carroll lol) we always catch the wrath of “left goods on the table cuz the tall guy”. Looney and Biedrins are the lone survivors… and Loon was a stretch four tbh.
Interesting fact Lively did shoot threes in HS… he also was on an AAU squad with Jaden Duren and Emoni Bates.
Like I said though I’ll be cautiously optimistic if we take him… my beer goggles finally came off on Wiseman watching him in a Pistons uniform. None of us want the Wiseman experience 2.0.

If we trade Poole, JHS is a perfect pick. If we make no trades, I’d like Lively.

I’ve not ready anything about any draft prospects to be honest who should we be getting then?

5 ppg and 5 rpg in college scares the living shit out of me.

5 PPG and 5 RPG is not my cup of tea. He does average 2.4 BPG, but that’s not eye popping against college competition. Walker Kessler averaged 8 and 6, but 4.6 Blocks in college. I can’t see lively playing year 1 tbh
Edit: reading more on him and he seems VERY similar to Wiseman; this dissuades me from wanting to draft him MUCH MUCH more

If he goes higher then someone drops. Size is still oogled after in the nba.

Hope they go with Davis.

Pass. I’ve seen some comps to Willie Cauley-Stein, and he didn’t work out for the Dubs
Freakscorpio
Don’t need a center who shoots threes, need immediate and consistent energy and offense while being a while presence in the hole a la Javale with the musculature of at least Anthony Davis or even Looney.

Ant Wright talked me into Trayce Jackson Davis on Light Years. Mature and ready to play and you know Kerr loves a son of a former player. Might actually give him playing time.
Hebrewhammer8d8
Can he protect the paint on defense, switch on time on defense, don’t foul a lot on defense, and grab resounds? On offense can he set good on and off ball screen, and catch the ball with his hands while moving? If he can do all that he can be on rotation getting 10 -15 mins.

14 3s prolly the next curry

I think there is a good chance that both Lively and Miller are gone before #19 (especially Miller) but I’d be excited if the Warriors picked either.
The thing about Lively is that other than Wembanyama there are no bigs in this draft, so is the second best big prospect lasting to #19?

Hard pass. We need someone Kerr will actually play.

A duke big… Hmmm 🤔 I dunno about that one

I just wish that Kuminga would put his athleticism toward rebounds and the Dubs could continue their small-ball dominance. Looney needs some help.
