I like what I see, but I still think trading down and getting a player or two in return is the optimal situation – then hope that Lively falls to the 11-19 range or something around that line (doubtful, but never know with needs from other teams)

I value what a player did in his college career over an empty gym pro day. He is mocked at late teens/early 20s based on college.
He might become this in an NBA game but that’s not what you are getting in year 1 or even 2. Hard pass at 10 for me.

Mitchell Robinson looks like a Demi-God in an open gym. This tape doesn’t really move me at all. If we pick him it better not be at 10.

He is not worth a top 10 pick right now. I would feel better if he scored better in the tournament. In his last game he played 36 minutes and did not take a shot.
With that being said I really like him. In two years, we may look back and realize he was the exact type of player we need. The shooting right now is not important to me. He he do the boring thi hs really well? If he can, he will be on the court and then his game can expand.
I am in favor of a slight trade down and then look at lively. In order to move down, I want two things. 1) a good player who can play now and 2) more than just Lively who you like. You need to like 3-4 guys because you can’t screw yourself if you are just targeting 1 guy.

A potential target if the Mavs trade #10 for two late round FRPs. Not at 10 though.
