Max has insane potential, imo. His height and athleticism is literally perfect for a premier 3&D guard in the league. The shooting can improve – although he already nearly shot 40% from 3 in his rookie year – and the defense looks VERY promising. I am in the no trade camp unless Indiana want him included in a Turner deal.

I see a BALLER in there. Please Rob/LBJ, do NOT trade him for a washed 3rd star.
Future star if he got playing time
I aignt gay at all and I have nothing against gay people I’m just observant and what I observed in a non sexual way was Max is kinda cute
If Schroder is gone, Max has a chance to follow Reaves’ path. Reaves grew pretty fast after he got the minutes from Westbrook.
His ceiling I feel is much higher than those guys.
Has potential to be better than those u mentioned — great size for a wing, Has the potential to be a great shooter, already a great defender and rebounder as a rookie, and looks like a young Kobe.
Hopefully he improves as much as AR from y1 to y2.
Hmm if only we’d had 2 of those guys, could have been really nice pieces to this team.
In the games that he played, he had already shown flashes to be an elite defender. I think his next year will be a good tell of how coveted he’ll be.
Nah. Everybody has the “potential” but he looks like THT to me.
Hope so
What r his strengths ?
I have all the faith that this team is capable of finding gems and players who can blossom with minutes and playing time.
I feel once he bulks up he can actually be a combination of both Reaves and Caruso. A great lengthy defender who can create his own shot and shut down a top perimeter player.
Excited with who they can put around him, Reaves, rui and our younger core guys as we get out of the LBJ Era in the next few years.
Absolutely (possibly even better than those guys) I don’t expect “star” just be a solid role player that brings defense, energy, & hit some 3s.
in the minutes he got he shot the ball well and graded out as a good defender. if TBJ leaves i can see max taking that spot in the rotation
We should keep him. Getting that much playoff exposure is gonna be great for him. Of course he didn’t get many minutes but just being in that atmosphere is great for a young player.
I’ve said this before, but I saw him play in high school since he was local to my area. He just has a knack for the right play, great IQ, and has a great mentality. Obviously the shooting and defense is there too, but he just plays winning basketball. Can’t wait to see his growth.
He looked so ready this year that he can very well be a rotational 3/D wing as soon as this year at 20. Who knows what can happen after that.
He can be more than Derrick White or KCP or Josh Hart. Guarantee this man will be one of the team’s top players.
Yeah!!
