Poole needs to bulk up little and focus on better footwork on defense. Also if he can unlock being a facilitator a bit more, that would help the Dubs.
Every time I see channels, trying to put the choke job that Klay Thompson, Steph Curry and Draymond Green, but especially coach Steve Kerr had onto a bench player in Jordan Poole, Iām going to set the true culprits on fire for preventing players, like Jonathan Kuminga from entering into the game.
In terms of value, I would as soon let Klay Thomson and Draymond Green walk and get half of the salary, they currently have much less earn a penny more than I would trying to trade Jordan Poole. Without Jordan Poole, they wouldnāt of won the championship last year. Without Jordan Poole, they wouldnāt of made the playoffs this year.
Also, speaking of players, that did not show up, letās also give it to Andrew Wiggins. This is not saying that he need to be overly blamed for anything, but simply that he didnāt play his best.
I would suggest that our friends in the comment section of this and many other videos who want to play GM here will likely get their chance when Bob Myers leaves the Warriors and Steve Kerr leaves after having a record of 19 and one in the Western Conference playoffs.
Steph Curry will likely get his wish and play with Giannis, the way all of this has been transpiring.
The dubs need to temporarily move steve Kerr upstairs and bring back mark Jackson for better development of our youngsters. Steve seemed to be unwilli ng to make the adjustments the play of certain players where calling for in the laker series. And that was soooo not like him. Lakers did it with there youngster which I now aren't better than ours. At least in game 6 he should have played our top 6 like the Lakers or put kaminga and other guys play. The way he handled them all season cannot be good for them. And releasing Wiseman was 1st mistake by front office in years. And steve was part of that. So I just think it's perfect time for different perspective.

I do think one of the problems was that Poole really did stop playing for the team and started playing for himself. He was very selfish and when his shot stopped falling in, he lost confidence fast. Iām not sure if he got lazier or if his work ethic was the same, but Draymond is usually right about guys. He was right about KD, and heās probably right about Poole, too. And really, Poole probably got punched by Draymond because Draymond couldnāt punch KDā¦ as crazy as that sounds. When Draymond smells a rat, he will put you on blast and call you out one way or another, if he suspects you arenāt willing to ride with the teamā¦ Curry had to give a speech about getting on the bus before game 7 of Kings seriesā¦ Draymond probably wanted to punch KD, but knew he couldnātā¦ years later, he sees the same kind of bitch in practice oozing out in Poole, and just lays into him. So, Draymondās punch was less about Poole, and more about, āIf you arenāt down for the team, then youāre a bitchā.
The organization failed him by not officially standing against Green's actions. The extension looked like a payoff and things never really resolved

Obviously he got paid too early I think everyone acknowledges that despite the fact and the time you could argue that given projections it was cheaper to sign him then than a year later.
But it's real tough situation for the dubs. I've know doubt wherever he ends up weather it's still on the Warriors or another team that offensively he will continue to improve and get more consistent and reliable. That just comes with age and experience.
My issue has always been the defense. It's not like he's too small to really do much, he actually has some good physical traits while obviously not being a huge Kawahi like wing. If he just gave effort got in a stance and prepared himself and communicated properly I'm sure he could stay in front of almost all the guards in the league he is that quick.
The issue is he takes silly gambles is not in any sort of guarding position most of the time or just wanders around into the paint as though he's actually capable of providing any sort of help defense there.
He has to go because there is no way now for this team to hold him accountable they've let the rope go for too long already and the punch and lack of consequences for Dray made it abundantly clear where the team's priorities lie.
And honestly he deserves to go somewhere that he can have a consistent role. Even though Klay clearly has to move to the bench and move the number 3 or 4 slot offensively a back court of Steph and Poole is totally unplayable for serious minutes just far too vulnerable defensively. Though Steph is a much better defender than he gets credit for such a lineup would just get bullied relentlessly all around the league.
More importantly than all that though is the cash. If the team plans on keeping Klay and Dray around to ride it out with Steph then sacrifices are going to have to be made. Even if they both take serious pay cuts (and they absolutely should) the team can't pay everyone lest they be royally screwed y the new CBA in 24/25.

The d league whole operation is trash as hell and been that way for a long time. They donāt promote it. Itās a farm of players who just want to go overseas after they get cut from training camps. No one watches it. It develops no character and honestly was way worst before they upped the salaries. Playing in empty gyms and experimental coaches and no fansā¦. How can you build structure with any level that suppose to be parent. They donāt even promote it. Just a opportunity for a 10 day call up. Itās a joke.

the 2023-2024 season is the last I will give to poole. I need to see something, and hopefully with his work ethic he can show it. He needs to learn how to slow down and utilize his speed correctly like fox. He also just needs to slow down period, and take time to read defenses instead of dribbling in recklessly. Overall this post season is really his only chance to redeem himself. I love his playstyle, but he gotta show that he can make it be consistent.
