Embiid and Harden are going to break down playing for Nurse. He expects his best players to average 37 min a night consistently and is known for not giving his bench players enough playing time to find any kind of rhythm.

Crazy, he’ll be out if they don’t win a championship. They can be a contender every year and it not matter. The coaches don’t play on the court. In a best out of 7 series the players ultimately decide who wins and loses

I'm glad this happened, it made the most sense considering it's always Toronto trying to double & halt him even in regular season games.
I don’t know how I feel about morey getting his pick. I know nurse is probably one of the better coaches out there but I’m skeptical of Moreys decision making and constantly bringing Houston people into Philly. It seems like this is all he knows how to do.
Embiid is gonna play 49 minutes a game (Nurse will just throw in an extra minute to wear those knees down even more)
No for real, strong hire. I like Nick Nurse. Problem for the Sixers is if Harden just walks for nothing, I like guys like Maxey to pick up the slack but it's going to be a challenge to replace that kind of production. The coaching move may end up being lateral & not really making an impact.

Just like doc rivers, nurse championship was a fluke. Decent coach but not enough power or influence to have continuous buy -in from players and commands his locker room.
He picked Embiid who averaged 24ppg/10rpg/2apg on 56% TS over KD who averaged 29ppg/9rpg/6apg on 60% TS and Devin Booker who averaged 34ppg/5rpg/7apg on 69% TS, what an a**hole.
