2021 Steph was different man, dropping 40 every night on an injured ass
introvertedguy13
Damn, and to think last season he averaged almost 30 a game on near 50-40-90 shooting again.
We’re wasting his prime years.

I wouldn’t say 2019 was peak at all, he was better in 2017 playoffs & 18 regular season (50/40/90)

I do wonder how those KD years would’ve gone if they would’ve signed, say, Al Horford instead (also available) . Obviously, you sign KD anytime you can. But I would’ve loved to have seen Curry go full nuclear first option with some complimentary pieces rather than the greatest second offensive option ever. Water under the bridge, just food for thought (to mix metaphors).

2021 has the best overall regular season but 2016 fucks the sky
2022 has the best playoff and final performance and 2019 has some of his playoff moments
wave_action
If Steph played all those 4th quarters in 2016 he would have set unbreakable records.

The 2022 – 2023 season Steph was more of a complete player. He was the best he ever was on defense, and on offense, his game took another step forward.

Regular season:
1) 16 – best because 73 wins, pulled out so many unbelievable ones
2) 21 – 62 pts and insane last 3 months
3) 19 had some good moments, 51 vs wizards, 10-1 start
4) 22 last because of the slump
Playoffs:
1) 22 – finals MVP, was much smarter and unstoppable against any defense
2) 21 – was also unstoppable in the play-in games even with Lakers and Grizzlies double and triple teaming him
3) 16 – injured MCL but still had some good moments. 16 would be the best for sure if he was fully healthy
4) 19 – had a hand injury so wasn’t as efficient but also had some good moments vs rockets and blazers
In terms of entertainment:
1) 2016 – much quicker and shiftier, took more crazy shots and isolations
2) 2022 during the 18-2 start and finals, basically went 2016 mode
3) 2021 – like 2016 but without as many wins, which made it not as fun
4) 2019 – took less wild shots since he had to share with KD

Not saying 2019 was the best, but 2019 curry was a monster, and a serious early mvp candidate despite KD still healthy and playing. As far as I’m concerned 2019 was the only year any one of KD or steph got serious mvp buzz during the KD years, and it was steph who got the buzz.
He was in the discussion for best player in the league and mvp throughout tons of media and podcasts of the sort at the time. He was insane the first month until an injury kept him out a month stopping his mvp campaign, but dude was unreal in 2019, and especially in the playoffs. Literally dismantled the harden/cp3 rockets WITHOUT KD, and then dismantled the dame/CJ blazers. Went on and Dropped 47 in game 3 while averaging 30 ppg in the championship against one of the most stacked defenses of all time with an all time great defensive coach in nick nurse. Just couldn’t win with Quinn Cook and jerebko playing 30+ minutes in the finals, but he was easily the best player in the playoffs and the finals. Seriously underrated year for the chef

2021 steph was something different. A decent second option (klay) gets them to the finals.

When he would pull up super deep (cause everyone thought it was a bad shot) and no one realized he had the range – I miss that swag version of him pre-kd

2016 was pure Naruto shit, just crafty as hell despite the weaknesses. Akin to Bron’s 2013 year where it was just night in night out, “i’m the best” 2021 was mastering powers but not quite there 2022 was his Goku year, otherworldly whenever they needed him to be and paced himself. Akin to Lebron’s 2018 year which was also the height of mastery + offensive powers combined. 2019 honestly feels a little more chucky compared to how good his peaks have been. Him being chucky is still a top 10 player.

really wanted the 1 sleeve Steph look to be part of this.

2021 Steph was the best one I saw

Warriors went 1-7 in 2021 without Steph. If they’re just a couple games better in that stretch, the Warriors would’ve been the 5 seed and Steph most likely wins his 3rd MVP. He averaged 32/6/5 and carried hard
jrb2211
Not on the list, but 2017 was his best playoff run in its entirety.
