Gotta feel for the guy rn ngl too much dogpiling

  2. Givemethechick3n

Terrible game is putting it lightly

  3. Bacca18121

I think it’s hard for him. He hasn’t needed to be a shot creator in this way until Jayson went down. Like yeah he can make a shot but it’s always as the second option.

I feel bad but it’s not just this one game. He’s been struggling all series long. Just need to be better, simply put.

Jaylen pressed as a result. I get it he’s 2nd in the pecking order but Jaylen is not a carry the team on his back player. He was forcing the issue and driving into a packed paint every time. If Jimmy goes down, the Heat don’t just start force feeding Bam or Caleb Martin. If Jokic goes down, Jamal is going to get shots but it’s not forced. They all still play like a team.

i was extremely pissed at him for his play, but im starting to feel bad for him to some degree. team looked to him to help win and he just laid an absolute egg.

I feel bad for him but at the same time I’m so mad at this dude. It seems like he isn’t practicing because he is not improving, that or he already reached his ceiling.
Dude can’t dribble and make plays, he is a guard but has terrible handles and one of the lowest bbIQ in the whole goddam league.
I don’t want him to leave but I also don’t know if he can turn things around in Boston.

26 year old fails at the highest level for the entire world to see and some of the fanbase are being some of the most overly emotional people possible.

Terrible night for him. But he’ll continue to grow and I’ll support him as long as he’s a Celtic.

Respect for owning up to it but it goes back to the problem all season. If something happens to Tatum like if he’s subbed out hurt ect the JB lead offense would just go to shit and I know we said it after the finals last year but he has to become a better playmaker and going into year 8 I don’t know if it will ever happen

Jaylen’s problem is he doesn’t understand how to balance aggression and patience. His intuition of having to step up when Tatum went down was correct, but his plan was just to start forcing everything in trying to save the day. What was required was patience and finding his shots within the rhythm of the offense.

What compounded everything was all the other players were missing good looks which made Jaylen force it even more.

It was just a worst case scenario situation. Shit happens, and I’m not giving up on Jaylen.

Let this be the start of your improvement and maturity JB. If White who is less talented than you, gave his heart and almost made a momentum in 3rd quarter then please use this as your motivation.

Work on your ball handling for Godsake we’ve been criticizing it for 3 straight years.

That’s the reason Brown will never be a first option on a winning team.

  13. Bit-Green

8 seasons to fix your handle bro and you didn’t improve even by a slight bit..Miami didn’t stop you today, you stopped your own self

  14. ftlftlftl

I said it earlier in the GDT. But Brown never wins games for us. Like, how many games has he been the guy and carried us late, or made the big shot, etc? I can count them on maybe one hand… Now look at players like Murray carrying Denver to a W in the 4th when Jokic was smothered. Brown could never.

  15. Dondon1927

Its not in his game. Will never be. Not even mad anymore, just numb

  16. I_Set_3_Alarms

I love him. This team clearly does better with positive vibes.

I know fans want to shit on losers and talk about how to build the perfect team, but I’m proud of how our team responded to being down 3-0.

We can be better next year

  17. Little-Object8026

The Buffalo did more than JB 🙁

  18. NiveksInigo

He’s honestly a third option until he improves his ball IQ / shot selection and dribbling.

  19. xroastbeef

Here’s hoping this was his Scottie Pippen migraine moment and if we bring him back he’s the best version of himself

  20. SnooRabbits6637

Love Jaylen. But man….bad series. It was JT in the Finals last year, now his turn in the ECF this year.

I’ll take solace in the fact he comes back every year a greater player. Let this series lead to an off-season dedicated to BBIQ. Watch film, study the game for defenses & opening your floor game/decision making on offense.

He ain’t going nowhere. He’s a Celtic & I still believe he & Tatum can lead us to a championship.

He’ll get his contract this summer. Hoping that + this series will help him accept he’s the best #2 in the league not a #1B. That’s what this team needs in the long-run.

  21. Yeah tough way to learn you suck at play making, not the right time for force it. He’s been saying this during the regular season how he can do more, playmake but know what you’re good at. Coaching staff should be the one to reel him in, especially in the playoffs.

  22. JimG617

Keep that same energy when it comes to the “Supermax”

  23. husseinh72

Year 8 and he still can’t dribble. Good bye hope you enjoy someplace other than Boston

  24. dtree556

Don’t think brown having the most turnovers in Celtics playoff history is talked about enough. Dude does not deserve a max contract.

  25. Unusual-Computer5714

I still want my $300 million though, just so we’re clear.

  26. siva115

He just has a horrendous BBIQ and cannot and will not read the game correctly

  27. Critical-Handle-5346

Embiid needs to learn about accountability. This is what you say after a game. Love JB

  28. badjarous

I like that he doesn’t dodge any accountability, but for a guy who soon may be the recipient of a supermax deal, he’s got to delivery more than he did, namely when the team is struggling and needs some spark in the offensive end.

Sure, the cap is about to go up, he’s young and has got good work ethic, but he’s still got some major gaps to fill for a guy who’s carrying such a price tag. His dribbling is too unreliable for him to be an elite shot creator with basket drives, and his shooting is too streaky for him to be an elite off ball wing.

I still think he has some margin to improve though, but I feel his ceiling is nearing.
