My man got Steve Mills fired, that’s enough to warrant a major salute to him, not withstanding the fact he navigated the 2020 trade deadline to perfection. He wasn’t a perfect GM (hard to tell how much of that was Mills or him), but getting Mills out of the organization was the best move the Knicks have made in the past 20 years, even potentially more so than signing Jalen Brunson.

I’m still not convinced their is anything positive or negative to say about him. All the horrible moves under Mills he was there for as well, and all the good moves with Rose he was there as well.
The only thing we 100% know Perry was responsible for was the Marcus Morris trade, so good work at that I guess even know I probably could have made that trade. Everyone wanted Morris

I fux with Perry. He wasn’t stellar, but he wasn’t a shit show. Just an even keeled good enough exec to carry us through bad times into better times. Respect.

I really don’t understand the love for this guy at all, he was part of/brought in the disastrous Mills regime and had to have a say in a lot of those bad decisions. He seems fine recently but his role the whole time has been kind of unclear, I just don’t really get what people are praising him for I’m pretty neutral/slight negative on him

Not the worst we’ve seen? That’s all I got honestly

It’s a pretty low bar so, ok…farewell homie.

It’d be easier if there was a clear way to say who did what during his tenure here (compared to Mills and his ideas), but despite all of the early discussion of his love for his former prospects (Elf, Super Mario), he was a man of relationships. Sometimes those relationships hurt (his prospects), other times…they paid off (Detroit ties for Rose/Brunson cap space deals).

Hope he lands on his feet.
I just wish he didn’t draft Knot
