I have seen several articles about this topic just now. What do you think guys? For me personally, I am absolutely fine with it specially if Pop’s are having health issues already. He can still help the team in other position.
I’m of the opinion that Pop should leave on his own terms, we owe him that much, but if he’s ready to retire (or move back into the front office in a reduced role), Steve Kerr would be a huge get and someone who understands what the team means to San Antonio.

Why would he do this? He’s built his own undeniable legacy as the coach of the greatest team of the 2010s, in a cool market with a unique identity. He will be able to coach the Warriors as long as he wants, in the same way that Pop and Spo are with their teams, and I cannot imagine him passing that up.

Would be great for Kerr if everything lined up right contract and timing wise. Pop should try to work something out with Kerr for this. As long as the warriors have Curry they’ll be relevant, but their true contending days may be behind them, especially with some rough CBA rules coming now. Bob Meyers getting out of that trouble in time (whether he was aware all that was about to happen or not). Kerr + spurs with Wemby for 10+ years (after Pop) sounds incredible.
The one caveat is that Kerr has had his own health issues, mainly awful back problems (that have needed surgeries) so he has potential of retiring earlier than others in his position would.

Why would Kerr do this? He’s gonna end his legendary coaching career in Golden State to constantly be in Pop’s shadows in San Antonio?
