I’ve talked myself into either, but would prefer Miller (OR MIKAL!) and am pretty comfortable with the outcome either way

I really hope it’s true that the blazers are open to taking scoot if he’s on the board. We have to either draft him or get a massive overpay for him, not just random pieces. Scoot is valued so highly for a reason.

In addition to this, Danny Marang also said on 1080 the fan the other day that theres a real possibility a trade for #3 doesn’t happen. Seems like this narrative is picking up steam. I personally want a big splash trade, but if nothing materializes i’d still be happy with Scoot or Miller. Either way theres gonna be an exciting new piece on our roster next season.

Really hope we could somehow manage to trade Ant and non #3 picks for a wing if that pick is Scoot.

I would be surprised if the pick is traded with Scoot or Miller available.

I could see the pick traded before or after the draft though if a disgruntled star becomes available. I just don’t think the Blazers will find a good enough offer to pass up a potential young star.

This is just posturing. If Scoot falls to us we’re trading him for sure.

If Charlotte takes Scoot, I hope we take Miller and have him as a core piece for the next decade or more. He can help our team straight away and has incredible upside. If Charlotte takes Miller, I hope we trade the pick w/ Ant / Nurk for an All Star calibre player, taking and keeping Scoot would just be recycling the failed Dame / CJ, Dame / Ant dilemma we’ve been in for the last decade.

Well yea were in a really good spot. Either a team will overpay for the pick or we draft a stud to pair with Sharpe long term who can still help during dames timeline.

lol Blazers have no incentive putting the name of their guy out there. Scoot and BMill was used because of consensus

It’s amazing that at a trade deadline, teams send LA pieces to help them push deep in the playoffs for shit returns but the blazers can’t get help when having several assets.

Listening to more analysis on the new CBA, it kinda sounds like we have to keep the pick in order to keep Lillard and still make other moves. (This is very much high-level pseudo-informed take on my part.)

Nice. It gives the Blazers leverage in trade talk around #3 pick

Good, don’t overpay. Last time we stuck to our guns and didn’t overpay we got shae

The Blazers just watched Amen work out — so this dude doesn’t think he’s in the mix? I could see us taking Amen instead of Miller and using him as a SF and hoping his defense pans out.
