I knew it was only a matter of time until people would start saying things like this. The NBA Reddit also though Mitchell was overrated and just a more expensive Sexton. Many people also laughably thought Gobert was better than Mitchell. The NBA Reddit loves to shit on young players when they have a bad series or two or don’t win a title when they’re under 26 years old.
They said similar things about Giannis when he wasn’t winning titles at 23 and 24 years old. Saying ridiculous comments like that when a player isn’t even in his third year is common practice from sports fans. It’s crazy how shit like that gets upvotes. But those people enjoy drama more than Basketball anyway and are not into actually analyzing Basketball or understanding why Mobley struggled offensively. Saying he got owned by Randle is a joke also. Randle averaged 14, 6 and 3 while shooting 41% from the field, 28% from three and 71% from the line. If that’s consider getting “owned” that guy is clueless. Allen got more owned by Robinson more than Mobley and Toppin averaged 8 and 3.
