I’d imagine its between Jordi or Sergio at this point.

  4. LegendaryBison

Has to be Jordi though, I hope so but either way I’m not ready for a rebuild 😭

They gave Monty Williams a fucking coach supermax dfkm

  6. OtisKaplan

Isnt that a lot of money for a head coach? Wtf

  7. ThisIsTDot

They actually did it. Interesting to see how pistons do next year

  8. myrapties

Raps were one of the first to fire their coach and are now last to hire a replacement. Is it that difficult to find a coach for our core?

  9. Raptorsthrowaway1

Holy shit. Talk about a golden hand shake.

    Good for him

  10. Outland3r_

That’s a lot of money to pay a coach that’s never won a ring jeeze

  11. Bapegang123

12M AAV??? Holy fuck. The accumulated amount is higher than this week’s lotto max prize

  12. UjiriWatcher

What did he accomplish to be the highest paid coach in the league

  13. Kamdog11

That’s a ton of money for a coach.
Is that the highest paid coach in the league?

  14. heater123321

I will probably get shit for this but… Monty gives me Mike Budenholzer with good PR vibes.

Crazy amount of money but good for him. He turned that Suns team around and will be good for Detroit’s young roster.

  16. JustAHumbleMonk

That is insane. Casey was not a great coach and he’s off to an interesting start to his FO career.

  17. SteveDougson

Honestly, I wasn’t even aware Casey had been fired.

Guys need to chill. Sergio is a winner and so is Jordi. The last lead assistant of the incumbent COTY we hired brought us a chip and a COTY season.

  19. Thealk3mist

Good move. They literally have nothing enticing except for Cade Cunningham. Maybe this years pick? Throw money as much as possible. Worried this will raise Masais price too lol.

This was our guy in my head, who the fuck we getting

  21. intecknicolour

when did casey get canned? i missed something?

  22. devilsadvocate2709

That’s what it takes to convince a man to move his family to Detroit

  23. WobbleKun

Isn’t Casey the one signing the cheques now? Man getting his peers paid lol

  24. Chris_TO79

Sheesh, that’s a huge overpay to get someone to go to Detroit. That said, Monty seems like a good developmental coach so maybe it’ll work out there.

  25. GraboHoops

Who saw this one coming? Holy shit that contract… both the term AND the amount are absolutely shocking.

  26. ImAHumanBean

Wow I didn’t know coaches could get this much

  27. redditister

Dang, there goes one of my top two choices.

Kenny Atkinson is next up for me..

  28. PM_me_startup_jobs

Hope Phoenix goes with Doc and Raptors grab Jordi Fernandez and spend the extra money (Jordi isn’t gonna be making 8M like Nurse) saved on rebuilding their coaching staff/development team.
