  1. Not happy Monty gone but I’m happy for him and the pistons. Definitely routing for their success!!

  2. OK that's dumb, Monty is fine, but he is not better than Dwayne Casey, especially when you consider how important discipline is to a young team, even if you can't get Nick Nurse, Bud is an upgrade for the pistons not Monty.

  3. Damn. With that amount of money, anything but the playoffs would be a failure.

  4. These mf’s signed this guy like they did with Josh Smith 😅
    Typical Detroit!

  5. This is a great move for us, He will help us so much with the core we currently have. This is the right move for us, and after the gut punch of getting #5; this is nice.

  6. All these guys saying that Suns made a mistake letting Monty go do not watch Suns games unless it is on National Tv. We know that the type of guy Monty Froze is.

  7. Monty is a great coach 78m is worth it. Pistons dont have superstars or w/ super max contracts players Im sure 78m wont hurt em 😂

  8. I’m fine with Monty being fired from the Suns. Two 2-0 series leads blown under his belt. Game 5 of the 2021 Finals was incompetence from Monty. He didn’t make adjustments when the Bucks got back into the game by not calling timeout right away. Also, can’t properly adjust to other teams.

  9. Lot of money and the Suns didn't make a mistake they fired him. He'll help them get to the playoffs maybe but they won't ho any further look at what he did in Phoenix. Blew a 2-0 lead in the finals, then got blown our 2 years in a row on his home court. Great regular season coach but when it comes to the playoffs he's garbage. Hence no rings

  10. $78 million got dang! what did Monty promise to Piston's president the moon and a dynasty!?

  11. Monty wants to build a new culture with a young team. He needed a break from the toxic win now culture (that he played a hand 8n, with how he handled Ayton (tho he's got blame, too)) in Phoenix.

  12. PG – Cade
    SG – Ivey
    SF – Bogdanovic
    PF – Barkey, Duren
    C – Wiseman, Stewart
    HC – Montey
    🔥🔥🔥

  13. Happy for Monty. I hope he stays there longer and goodluck. Hey smoove, do you have any finals prediction video coming??

  14. Sooooo you’ll not gonna listen to my project “B L E U C H E E S E” it’s on this profile

  15. As a Pistons fan, I think this signing is great! It is funny that he is making more than most of our players, but, (and this very well can age poorly,) with a great coach in Monty, a hopefully healthy Cade, a new lottery pick and everyone else just getting a year better. We can be a play in team. Plus the fact that Monty was a great coach for CP3. Give some of that to Cade.

  16. team stays healthy, develops properly and can get focused like Smooce said and there's no telling how far Detroit can go in this interesting East conf

  17. I think it’s good for a young team like this. Any other team paying this much is crazy

  18. Suns fans know firing Monty was a good decision. Even in the Finals run, he was getting outcoached because as great as he is, he's not a good playoff coach due to his lack of adjustments in the playoffs.

The team in general needs to refresh from both Monty and Ayton. Monty is gone and soon, so will Ayton. Great coach but it was the right move letting him go.
