    I swear Gilbert be making up these false narratives. Teams would love to have role players like Smart White and Horford because they do other things outside of scoring the basketball. Marcus Smart is one of the few guards in the league that can switch on to almost any other player on the court defensively. White gives you a little bit of everything. And Horford is one of the most versatile defensive bigs even though he is past his prime. The role players were not the problem. It was on the two stars especially Jaylen Brown who never saw a shot he didnt like. Miami exposed alot of holes in Browns game in terms of ball-handling, playmaking and overall basketball IQ

    Derrick White is actually a great role player he can shoot, has high I.Q, can pass, and play defense. He even hit game winning shot in playoff

    Marcus smart ain’t that bad of a PG I say he is mid tier. Out of all the starting point guards I’d take him over D’Angelo Russel, Chris Paul, Tyler herro, Westbrook, Mike Conley, cj cccollum and a few more.

    Hortford is fine he’s just old so I would trade him though.

    Marcus smart is a good player.. maybe mot a real pg.. but he's a player.. derrick white has been solid all year.. horford is past his prime but his impact is beyond the box score.. they have a solid 5

    I disagree i think boston has great role players and gil u named them. U know that smart and white r not truly point guards so that stat u shouldn't bring up cuz they contribute in other ways besides assist but i think smart is getting better. I think they ran out the tank on game 7 but it should of been a better game

    They need a true PG I think tyus jones would be great on their team as a starting PG and y’all can also have aldama and Memphis would love to take jaylen brown off ur hands 😂

    I disagree this time. White is a Beast and legit! Smart was nailing 3 pointer after three pointer. The Celtics lost because Coaching matters. The idiot Owner Fired the Coach that led them to the Finals last season just because he slept with his wife or some White Lady who is a travel agent! Really….. ! They got the the Eastern Conference finals because their two Stars are really that great. The Celtics should Start Brogdon and the assist will rise and they will win more games with a traditional passing Guard. Marcus Smart is just a Patrick Beverly with less attitude and a better jump shot.

    No. Those 3 players accommodate the 2 stars and allow them to keep the 2 stars together. That’s the NBA we have at this point. Having a good team that plays defense as well as offense is a thing of the past. I tried my best Adam Silver voice with this.

    Right, but all three of those dudes play defense, Smart was DPOY White led the league in blocks for a PG and Horford had the best 3pt% in the league. And the team has the 2nd best record in the league. Oh ya. We had the 6th man of the year. We lost. I get it. But that Heat team is the best 8th seed to come out probably ever. And let’s not forget that Heat team swept the Bucks. Y’all kill me with your flip flopping every other game!
