I keep saying to people the Lakers frontcourt is already stacked they don’t need Myles Turner or Bobby Portis when they already have Lebron, Rui, Vanderbilt, Tristan, Bamba and AD who is a full time 5 now, AD is not as agile and mobile as 3 years ago, he is heavier, older and can’t shoot 3’s anymore, and he is just a defensive monster at the 5, before the Nuggets series he had an ALL TIME great defensive playoffs run, only Jokic, Giannis and maybe Embiid on a good day can be a problem for him, and the other problem is that LeBron is also older, slower and got less energy so he can’t play the 1-2 or 3 anymore, he has to play the 4 he can’t chase players like Curry or Klay around screen and guard perimeter players all game long.
So imo the Lakers should just get a big body, a true 7footer like Mcgee or Hassan Whiteside to play against Jokic because size and length is Jokic only weakness, but even against Gobert (3x DPOY, 7’1 with a 7’9 wingspan if y’all forgot) and KAT, he cooked them so i don’t think it would make a big difference, Jokic and that Nuggets team is unstoppable on offense, the only way to beat them is to make life difficult for them on defense and outscore them, and that’s why you need a Kyrie or a Dame, or just a better scorer than D-Lo because Lebron will be 39 and AD is too inconsistent on offense, if D-Lo just averaged 15ppg this serie they would be in the finals ..
Well I have been wanting him to sign with Lakers since he was in the G League. I dont understand why all the GMs didn't want him especially in the age of the 3 pointer. He should be a laker.
Naw…. another hole on D. I'd rather let Max 6'6 Christie develop – and bring back Schroeder. AR15 is the backbone of our backcourt…. it's why I'd consider FVV over D Lo, unless we can get Diangelo back for 20mil or less per year. Even then, D Lo has a lot to prove, mainly on the defensive end… sure sometimes shots won't fall, championships are won on D. 💯💯💯
